2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

To their team? Like the expected win total of their team's with and without them? Yes, I think Kawhi, Westbrook, and Harden were all more valuable this year. Lebron's team went 23-23 over the last 46 games of the season.
I think that all those teams would rather have lebron than their own guys. I think lebron is more valuable. I get your point though. Lebron didn't care about the regular season much and those other guys did.

Btw, I would have voted for westbrook.

But you do have to get the lol that Seattle jazz fan was talking about when you watch this game. Kahwi, westbrook, and Harden couldn't hold lebrons jock..... but they did have better regular seasons.

Why is that lol? There were 3 dudes who had better regular seasons, carrying less talented teams to better records while putting up better stats. (Besides Westbrook, but he just up monster stats). I dont think someone should get put into the MVP race automatically just based on their name.
Lol because it's funny. Not rocket science, Cy.

Butler + Hayward + Fultz + whomever is not the 3rd best team in the league.

Hayward + Gobert + Favors + Hood could compete to be the 3rd best team in the league though

The vote isnt "Who would you want on your team the most".

It's widely accepted as which player was the most valuable to THEIR team in the regular season. I think Harden, Westbrook, and Kawhi can all hold Lebron's jock. Maybe you forgot, but Kawhi got Finals MVP while beating Lebron one year.

I do have to admit, I like what I have seen of jaylen brown

Butler/Horford/Hayward/Fultz

Favors/Hood were trash this year dude, you cant throw them in and say they are helping the Jazz be the 3rd best team. If that is the Jazz's pitch we are ****ed.

Butler/Horford/Hayward/Fultz isn't the 3rd best team in the league, or 4th, or 5th...

Horford is a career 14/8 player who is starting to decline.

I like browns body language, effort, attitude, unselfishness, and iq. Haven't seen him much before the playoffs but I'm definitely buying jaylen brown stock.

Anyone know his measurements and his vert. Looks long, and quick and explosive.

What's your team?

Mine's:

Rudy Gobert
Kevin Durant
LeBron James
Jimmy Butler
Steph Curry

If Hayward wants out of Utah, that's one thing, but this Celtics team is poorly constructed right now, and making them a contender is not a sure thing at all.

Pretty badass team. I would love to get kahwi on there though. Not sure if kahwi can play the two but I might swap him out with butler.

He's legit smart. Like the type that would go to Cal even if he weren't an athlete.

I didn't know that. Was he good in college? How much of a leaper is he?

Nevermind about the leaper question, just saw him explode for a dunk in traffic.

He wasn't mocked that high (#3) was he?

They have a billion assets and could construct their team any way they want for the future. IDK why you are looking at their team rn and thinking this is their end goal, it isn't. It's merely a stepping stone for them to eventually trade IT and build through their Brooklyn picks as is, or to trade one of them for a star while signing Hayward.

And they won 50+ games, it's not poorly constructed. They ran into the greatest player in the world, a guy who might be the best ever. Utah lost to what might be the greatest team ever. You cant possibly take away anything about either team in comparison to each other, other than nobody has a chance in hell unless they create a 3rd super team.

And if Hayward leaves, that's the reason why, because Boston has a chance at building a super-team and Ainge has shown he has what it takes to pull off that build strategy.

Gobert is a bonafide All NBA player. In theory, IT was All NBA also. If you take him off the Celtics and get whatever value in return via trade, it's down to Hayward, Horford, a rookie, a future rookie TBD, and enough cap space to sign one more dude. A lot of maneuvering needs to take place. Could Ainge do it? Maybe. But it could also blow up in his face. It's risky.

I don't remember his rank, but he was top 5 coming out of HS. Big time prospect. Big leaper. Explosive. Strong for his age. Struggled shooting the ball at Cal.
