2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

I really have no idea. He has yet to score 10 points in a game this series and got 0 yesterday. Are other GMs who might not appreciate his intangibles as much going to want to pay him?

They will care about his 3 point shooting percentages. The top 3 point shooters from regular season seem to always get paid. That is his stat that has me most worried we wont be able to pay him enough to stay.

At this point, I think Burks and Favors are likely gone. I also have my doubts about Hill being retained. There's a good chance Jazz pay Ingles.

I don't buy the Favors gone stuff. We're not going to trade him for peanuts. His value to our team playing is much more than we would get back for him.

You mean one of the most irritating, dumbest and laziest beat reporters in the history of the Salt Lake Tribune? If given the choice between reading 5,000 Jody Gennessy weight updates, 1,000 Tony Jones maybe-right-but-probably-wrong hot takes, or 1 Bill Oram 'I think I'm so much more clever than you but I'm really, really not' tweets, I'd go with Jody and Tony every time.

Luckily, we have Andy Larsen, who is promising in so far as he aspires to be an actual sports journalist and isn't just doing a job to keep getting 'dem checks.

Tell me about it. I was one of the few who didn't like him, if you don't believe me read this thread.

I must say, since he moved to Orange County he has toned down his twitter theatric A LOT and he only seems to tweet out his articles and interesting stats now. Seems like somebody really reined him in over there.

Wow, that's COLD. That's REAL COLD.

LOL ...

Wade just informed teammates there's no hot water for showers in visiting locker room.

I just hope Burks knee is actually healthy so someone will actually want him. I think convincing Brooklyn is our only shot.

Coming into the "next series" against Golden State............... Golden State hasn't played a healthy Utah Jazz team yet

1st game : M.I.A.) Hayward,Hood,Hill,Favors
2nd game: M.I.A.) Favors,Hill,(Hood 11 mins played)
3rd game: M.I.A.)Hayward,Hood,Favors,(Hill 19 mins played)

Golden State has not played the "Real Jazz" team yet, they've only seen Hood for 11 minutes in 1 game,Hill for 19 minutes in 1 game,Hayward for 27 minutes in one game .Other than that all three missed 2 of the 3 games played against GS.Golden State hasn't even seen Favors yet this year.

Golden State beat a Jazz team where Mack and Exum and Daiw played heavy minutes. The game that GS lost to Jazz Gobert grabbed 18 rebounds and Jazz got 12 more FG attempts than GS did in that game.

A healthy Jazz team with all their 1st unit and 2nd unit playing is a different team and GS only has tape and tv to see who they are going to be playing next.

I definitely believe that a healthy Jazz team is the only team outside of the Spurs in the west which can compete with GSW, and perhaps they're even a better match than the Spurs, but still... The Warriors are dangerously good. One thing is the crazy shooting, but their defense is league-best as well. It would be an upset for the history books if we beat them.

Odds on us winning the title if we beat them?

Jingles was the 3rd best 3 point shooter in the league this season(refuse to count Gasol with less than half the attempts of everyone else) who has become a solid defender.

And now in the playoffs is showing true ability as a playmaker.

As much as I like Rodney Hood, I'd prioritize keeping Jingles over paying Hood his next contract.

But yeah, hopefully his age and deceptive looks as a guy who should be hanging out at a bar help him go overlooked.

This.
I don't think we really have any chance against them if they are healthy.

We are almost to a Game 6 at home with a chance to close out the Clippers and we don't have a GT?!

Where the hell are the "content creators"?! One of you good GT makers get your butt in gear and deliver the gold!
