2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

I'll admit it doesn't look good for the Jazz. A hobbled Rudy and Derrick, our supposed advantage, will not cut it against this stupid super team. Everyone is counting them out. 5 games maybe 6. Could easily be a sweep. I know the Jazz are listening and it's probably pissing them off.

I've counted this team out so many times. Expecting to lose games and watch this team grind the **** out the opponent to a decisive win. Honestly, the Jazz being able to slow this GS team really wouldn't surprise me. Neither would a GS blow out win. All I know is this team ****ing fights and, if their not too injured at this point, who knows how good they are. This is only the 17th game we've seen this version of the team.

I have no ****ing idea what will happen this series.

;tldr

Basically our best chance is tied to Durant having complications with his knee/calf. Without Durant they become beatable.

I dont know why I read ESPN articles sometimes they are very bad. Their 5 on 5 articles are very very bad takes. Those guys just cater to big market responses that make no sense.

This article today had this bit

Cool no mention of all the Jazz starters missing in those games... So lame.

Literally nothing of use in this article. It just said Steph played really well last round and Hayward sucks against the Ws. That is their inside the watch up numbers article.

With all the quality NBA related articles out there today you'd have to be pretty desperate to give any ESPN article the time of day.

Damn it, now Louis Williams has learnt how to draw fouls shooting the 3 also.

Houston has just become one of my least watchable team.

I'm not sure I have been saying it on here (don't think so)...
But I have known Spurs are trash and a big reason why I would be happy to see Kawhi named MVP.

To be honest, I am thrilled that the Jazz were able to get a series victory. We are now playing with house money. Just take it game by game and see if there is a potential upset tonight. Can you imagine if we upset the W's? Of course, the media would spin it that saying that they lost instead of us winning....

ESPN's slow destruction is a guilty pleasure for me. Does that make me a bad person?

I do like that Rome is burning a bit... although I enjoyed Ethan Strauss' different take on things.

Ford was passed up by DX by a lot and Woj was getting all the scoops. I like KP and Amin is pretty good basketball wise, but he is a little full of himself and annoying. They still got some decent basketball guys.

Brian Mahoney @briancmahoney
NBA playoffs had most-watched first round on ABC since 2011 and the most-watched first round on ESPN since 2014.

The viewing numbers were down early in the first round, I don't know if it is true but I am going to attribute the increase to the Jazz.

So if Silver is smart he will create the circumstances under which the Jazz can win a couple of games to keep that series interesting.

Isaiah Thomas getting exposed badly on defense.
Celtics scrambling due to having to help Thomas. Playing some 2-3 zone and having no success

John wall playing like a superstar this game.

And peep these numbers from round one: 28.1 ppg on 51% shooting and 42% from 3 to go along with 11.1 assists per game as well.

Ballin

I think wall has 17 in the first quarter

**** boston. Hayward don't want to play with the midget. (Those draft picks are definitely something to consider though unfortunately)

And imagine the endorsement opportunities if he goes to Boston. Big fish in a much bigger pond.

Outside of the #1 overall this year, I don't think so, and Boston could easily get bumped. Rookies almost always take time to become difference makers, even top picks. Utah has the best big man in the league who is ready to play now.

Hayward would be nuts to leave Gobert to go play with some rookies who have never played an NBA game.
