Only to lose to the Ws a round later?![]()
There is a greater chance of luck helping you out if you have to face them in the Finals than the 2nd or 3rd round.

But it also would make the Celtics seem that much worse, since they got blown out by the Cavs. So I think it helps rather than hurts Hayward's chances of returning to Utah.

How so? You have to defeat one in conference finals and the other in the finals. All this would do is switch the order in which you play them. A laughable consideration for a career change.
The Warriors could lose to the Spurs, especially if they get Chris Paul or Kyle Lowry. The Warriors have 3 rounds to lose or get injured before you have to face them. You can laugh at that, but it's a legitimate factor. The Eastern Conference is an easier road than the West. And yes, losing in the Finals a few times is a better legacy than never making it to the Finals. Ask Malone/Stockton.

It's not a legitimate factor. It's nonsense. However, him thinking Boston would be the better team is a legitimate consideration.
Seeing how LeBron has performed, I'm now thinking GSW = LeBron. LeBron's dominance equals that whole team.
Moreover, it seems to me LeBron can play at this level for at least 3-4 more years. Whereas Golden State might have to break things up once Luxury Tax starts to bite.
On that basis, I'm not so sure Hayward going to the Celtics is gonna make that much sense to be honest.

Cavs will have similar issues. They payed 56 million dollars in luxury tax last year.
If the Celtics had traded for Butler, then it would be a different story. However, it looks more and more likely that the Celtics will hold on to those picks. Between that and having to max out IT next year, and other players coming due for new contracts, that Boston situation isn't better than Utah right now. Fultz and IT play the same position even. Boston's roster isn't the big step up some people seem to be making it out to be, and won't be without some major moves that don't look likely.
Also, I can't believe anybody is rooting for that gutless wonder KD to get a ring. That's just disgusting.
Fixed. If LeBron takes out gsw it'll be the greatest achievement on his resume .

The Warriors will win. I'd be surprised if it was even a competitive series. The Cavaliers struggle to get stops. Their offense has gotten them to the Finals over average defenses. But it won't be as effective against a top defense. And the Warriors offense will expose every defensive flaw.
TrueThat sounds like exactly what everyone said last year too.

True
Then draymond got suspended and they didn't have durant.
I don't think they are unbeatable for a game either. I do think they are unbeatable in a series though. They lost a lot of their size and depth to get Durant though. We played GS tougher than anyone so far. I don't think they're unbeatable. We had them beat Game 3 the whole game until we couldn't score in the second half of the 4th quarter.
