2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

They lost a lot of their size and depth to get Durant though. We played GS tougher than anyone so far. I don't think they're unbeatable. We had them beat Game 3 the whole game until we couldn't score in the second half of the 4th quarter

What is the depth and size they lost? This years roster is deeper and has better size based on Durant alone. They filled the roster out pretty well after that as well.

They lost Bogut, Barnes and Speights but added Durant, Zaza and Mcgee. That is more length this year and better overall players.

Barbosa too. He was probably their best bench player outside of Iggy last year. Iggy and Livingston are both worse this year too.

The frustrating thing about the Cavs is that their secondary stars arent as good defensively as the Cavs secondary stars. When Irving and Love arent scoring well they both aren't that good.

Thompson was out there bricking shots, but he was playing elite defense on everyone.

He took it coast to coast and there was Lebron and Kyrie between him and the basket when he took off.

**** like that isn't worthy of the NBA finals.

OTOH, when they defended him and stopped him once later in the game in a similar situation, Curry hit a three...

Mccraw replaced most of what Barbosa brought. For every bit Iggy and Livingston declined they had others like Ian Clark and their core players improve. Plus they added others line David West. The team is much better, deeper and has just as much or more length this year. It's silly to argue otherwise. Durant alone checks off all the of those and then you have the rest of the roster upgrades like the step up to Zaza over Bogut.

Zaza is not an upgrade over Bogut....

Maybe not but their production is close to the same. Although Bogut dropped off this year more and had less of an impact in Dallas than Zaza did in Dallas. But if you just compare their impact in GS then it is about the same.

Either way the rest stands true and GS is a deeper, taller, better team this year than last year. Do you disagree with that?

Just because of KD. I think every other non-starter spot is weaker

I disagree with that but at least we agree that they are a better and a deeper team with more length. Durant is the main reason for that.

What I think can be agreed upon is that unless something shifts and it becomes competitive I'm rapidly losing interest in watching games outside the Jazz schedule. Probably for the next few years until however the Warriors start to break up.
Most boring playoffs for a very long time

Most boring playoffs in my memory. I said in the middle of the Jazz series the Warriors may sweep the playoffs now it looks like they will, unless they get bored beating on Cleveland.

Cleveland played one hell of a game in game 3. They still lost. I don't think they could have played any better and it still didn't matter.

I wonder if warriors can keep this team. they probably need to let klay or green go in a few years cuz of money problem. maybe KD will go back to OKC? lol

They are making a **** ton of money winning championships. Their owner is doing pretty well. They can always re-sign their own players. I don't see why they would break up the team over money.

Someone might want to go elsewhere for a bigger role or many other reasons but I don't see money being one of those reasons.

They are keeping the team. They are a big market club that managed to field the best team ever assembled. Of course they're keeping it.
