2016 NBA Season Notes/Info

Cavaliers blow 26 point 4th Quarter lead, LeBron blames refs.

This is Lebron's style, blame the refs, blame his teammates, blame the coach, blame the GM, blame the media.... It is why I consider him in the same classification as Shaq- unparalleled physical specimen, with little else worth cheering.
Wow. What a terrible post. Rarely, if ever blames teammates, blames himself, don't think I've ever heard him blame Lue. Even last night when he didn't agree with some calls, he didn't blame the refs for the loss.

But the worst part of that post- calling him just a physical specimen. Dude is the most complete player to ever lace them up. He's one of the most brilliant minds the game has seen in terms of players.

he is the only player ever in his 14th season to set a career high in rebs or assists and he has set his in both this year. This speaks to his work ethic and his desire to get better.

LeBron is nothing like Shaq.

Brook Lopez just became the all-time leading scorer in Nets history, passing Buck Williams. They're giving the C's a run for their $$ in this 2nd half, bigtime comeback.

Treveon Graham (who the Jazz signed earlier this season) scored 12 points last night for Charlotte and grabbed 2 steals in 16 minutes on 4/5fg's (2/2 from 3)

He's actually 9/13 from 3 on the season.

With his impending free agency this summer, Danilo Gallinari may have played his last game in a Nuggets' uniform. 5.5 seasons, 4,898 points.
12:18 PM - 11 Apr 2017 · Denver, CO

The Hayward leaves contingency plan still goes something like;

-Secure a meeting with Gallo
-call Otto Porter and offer the max

Supposedly this is the new timberwolves logo thats leaked

Either guy would be a solid consolation.

Either guy would be a solid consolation.

Offensively Gallo is a pretty nice weapon, he can definitely score, but not sure how he'll go defensively though. He's also not a great passer of the ball, so we'll need to put the ball in Hood's hand and have him create. But Hood has been so injury prone lately.

Porter has had a great start to the season this year but seems to be fading a bit. So I'm not sure if throwing max $ at him will be a safe bet.

Yeah, I'm not convinced you throw the max at him.

Yeah, I'm not convinced you throw the max at him.

It's not like a super max or something we're talking a contract like Rudy's... 4 yr 101mil.. the wiz would likely match..

The Jazz could fit him in (4 yr/$101MM)

Ingles for 4yr/$40MM
Hill for 3yr/$60MM (player option for 4th yr)

Plus the 2 1st rd picks and the 2nds puts them at 17 players, right around $$130MM only around $10MM over the projected threshold of ~$120MM..

Thats with picking up Diaw's option BTW.

PG - Hill, Exum, Neto, Burks, (1st rd pick - Andrew Jones)
SG - Hood, Ingles, Exum, Burks (2nd rd pick - Kevin Huerter)
SF - Porter Jr, Johnson, Ingles, Hood/Burks
PF - Favors, Diaw, Johnson, Lyles (2nd rd pick - Cam Oliver), Bolomboy
C - GOATbert, Favors, (1st rd pick - Anigbogu)

This leaves about 31MM expiring in the form of Favors, Iso Joe and Neto next year, which can be given to Favors long-term, Hood and Exum will need to be retained and they can potentially be the highest paid team at this point... It's feasible tho.. The other 2 roster spots fill in with the 2 2018 first rd picks..
