Young is set to have a career year. Not only in shooting and his offensive numbers but his defense and play-making is going to surprise a lot of people this year.

Starters:

John Wall
Jrue Holiday
Harrison Barnes
Blake Griffin
Myles Turner

Bench:

Donovan Mitchell
Nick Young
Brandon Ingram
Amir Johnson
Thon Maker

#153 and my pick to take out MIP honors this year;

Thon Maker:

"You can quote me, right now," Parker told The Lead prior to yesterday's game against Miami. "Thon Maker's gonna be the best 7-foot player in this league. He's going to be. He's that good."

"Say if, for instance, he was on a team like Philly or one of the teams that's in the low .500s, he'd be averaging 15 and 10, easily, because his skill set is so amazing," Parker added.

"He can shoot the ball, he can put it on the ground, and he's athletic. He has that type of athleticism. Quick first step for his size, agile, great hands, good feel for the game, and it's only going to get better."

That was going to be my last pick

JaMychal Green

Young up and coming player with improving range. Shot 37% from three shooting just over one a game. Still very young and expect him to improve even more, and a good athletic active defender.

Last years stats.
8.9 pts. 7.1 reb. 1.1 ast. 37% 3pt%

Dennis Schroder / d'Angelo Russell

I love my rotation of bigs. Young athletic and full of potential while providing lots of defense.

Schroder Booker Porzingis Russell could all have huge years next year. Wade is the perfect veteran leader for this young team, who can still bring it, and the reduced role and minutes should help him immensely with reduced minutes he will be more consistent with offense while still making winning plays. I like my team.

Why people talking about young and full of potential when we are talking single playoffs. It's not like you are building a team for a 82 games season and for the next 5 years. For this kind of ruleset I take a washed up, barely moving Dirk over Maker 10 out 10.

Talking about the potential for next year which we are basing these players off

Its based on projections of next season... The young guys on my bench are all set for breakout years.

And I completely agree with you, but people will vote how they vote. Just kinda how these things go.

Just try to convince voters to your side and you'll do fine.

Strong starting lineup.

Not very sold on your bench.

My bench guys are perfect. Can come in fill minutes and contibute in any role.

Its how all sides should be constructed, 5 studs as starters, couple of vets off the bench and exceptional young talent.

I'm just not crazy about them.

Having a rookie Mitchell as your backup PG when that won't really be his role on his own team? Young...meh. Ingram is more a 2 than 3. I like Amir, but he's definitely on the downside of his career...and I just don't think Maker will be that good next year. He's really, really raw.

I'd probly play Maker at the 4 and Johnson at the 5, maybe even switch Ingram and Young around too.
