You can't say you have top notch perimeter defenders when you're starting IT. He's one of the worst in the league.
He might be the worst in the league.

Out of the 86 results for DRPM (Defensive Real Plus Minus) among point guards on ESPN, Thomas is ranked 86th. That means he has virtually no impact on team defensive performance. That is unbelievable. He has a -4.42 for DRPM.
Is IT bad because of his size, or is he bad because he plays defense like Harden?

It's both.
And when Harden cares to, he's not a bad defender. He can be average.
I hate that excuse. You can say something similar to that about a lot of people. He conserves his energy for the offensive end and it shows on defense.

Bledsoe-Lin
McCollum-Harris
Crowder-Tucker
Aldridge-Patterson
M. Gasol-Gortat
I love my team. Nine of my guys shoot the three, and I have great defenders and badasses in Gasol, Crowder, Tucker, Harris, Gortat and Patterson. Overall great balance with little flaws.
This. The only real question mark for me is Crowder. It will be interesting to see what his role is this season. Overall, I like it. Lacking a little bit of star power though.
PG - Stephen Curry / Derrick Rose
SG - Klay Thompson / Danny Green
SF - Kyle Korver / Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
PF - Greg Monroe / Marvin Williams
C - Andre Drummond / Dirk Nowitzki
This team would be hard to guard that's for sure. I think I have the bench best in this competition as well. I traded a lot to get the Curry/Thompson pairing but I think I did a good job of filling the rest of my team out nicely.
Your defense except for Curry/Klay is woof.
I really don't like Monroe playing the 4, I think he's a 5.
Your bench isn't bad, but Dirk at the 5 is a mistake. Not sure how Rose/Green/Dirk will work.
Offensively you should be pretty decent, but your interior defense is really bad.
Korver starting is a mistake. He's not good anymore.
Those are all fair points.
There is statistical data to back-up the Monroe/Drummond combo though.
I can play around with the starting-lineup a little bit. MKG and Green are both elite defenders so that would help my starter's defense a lot in place of Korver.
So when do matchups start?
I'd definitely start green over Korver, even though I wouldn't want to start Green in a 16 team draft. Korver just isn't that player anymore
