2017 Exit Interviews

Favors said he was 55%-60% healthy on his recent return.

Favors said he is healthy coming into the off-season so he will be able to get in better shape. Last year he was really injured going into the off-season and made it difficult to be in shape.

Ya I don't believe him.

Ya I don't believe him.
Open your eyes then. It was obvious he wasn't the same player and that the injury was hampering him even after he came back. He looked better in the playoffs than at any time during the year and he's still not nearly as good as he was before the injuries set in. I believe he'll be better next year and I'd hate to let him go before we know for sure.

I think the part he doesnt believe is that he wasn't healthy going into last off-season which domino affected his entire season and that this of-season is going to be different.

I don't believe that going into the off-season injured means you're done for the next 14 months (because you can't get in shape...). I also don't believe that he's currently fully healthy and simply in need of getting back in shape.

Rudy Gobert wants to improve on a lot of things. Work on lower body strength so he can stay quick and explosive.

Big contract won't affect him or his approach to his game. He just takes it as a show of faith from the organization.

He still thinks that he and Favors can still coexist.

He admitted that he wasn't at 100% for the Warriors series.

Gobert thinks Hayward's decision will come down to winning. He hopes that Hayward will remember everything they've built as a team so far.

"Going into next year, why not win 60 games?" -Rudy

Thinks having a deep roster was key for last season and key going forward.

How to make next step: believe in ourselves, be ambitious, take care of bodies and strive to be better. Seems to imply that the jump can be made with improvement from within.

Gobert looked like 75% of the player he was in the regular season. So him not being 100% makes sense.

Derrick Favors

Will keep working on post and mid game, but he feels like it's necessary to add a three point shot to his game.

Yes. If he comes back anything resembling what he was prior to this year and has a three point shot then we are a completely different team.

He looked like his old self in game 3, but besides that you could something was really off.

That was his best game, but he didn't quite look himself there either. He looked similar to last year, when he played well, but not quite as active and impacting as he typically is when 100% healthy.

Man, it's so depressing listening to Burks talk. Really feel for the guy. Hope he can finally get healthy this off-season. His agent is the real MVP.
