Practice means reproducing problems you will face. If a player wants soft competition they can find it anywhere in the world.

Its funny how quickly people are to dismiss the possibility of a rookie being a positive contributor.

Look at what Donovan did his rookie year in the playoffs.

I dont think its a stretch to say Zion will be good right out the gates. Blake Griffin averaged 22 and 12 his rookie year

It is always a stretch because it is in the nature of drafting. It is always a gamble. It doesn’t mean that you’ll lose all the time but odds are always against you.

You know what is even funnier? The fact that no one has said that he might possibly be a positive contributor. You are famous for straw man arguments.

You drafted him at 17. Was Donovan top 17? Was Blake top 17?

Top 15 is All NBA level performance. You are putting Zion near this level before he steps onto a court. Even LeBron was not All NBA as a rookie.

If you were picking for a team in 5 years it might be good.

But hey, no denying that it could happen.

Maybe Donovan was top17 worthy as a rookie. He played like he was a lot of the time. It was arguable that Blake was too.

Sometimes players step right in and are more valuable than a lot of the vets.
