2019 NBA draft day thread

Stupid NBA draft rule where you draft for the other team until trade is 100% final.

Isn't that the way teams get around the Septien rule? You wouldn't risk trading 1st round draft picks in consecutive years as you are trading the rights to a player after he's picked, not the draft pick itself.

But we are all adults here. We all know who the trade is going to. The kids have people lining up housing in their new city. Getting **** organized.

And they walk across the stage with a hat of a team who traded the pick days ago.

Didn't say I Iiked the rule. But it's supposed to protect teams from really bad owners selling their picks year after year. And then GM's found a loophole in case they ever do want to trade 1sts in n consecutive years.

Logical changes to the NBA-

#1 Free agency before draft

#2 Get rid of Stepien Rule

#3 2nd round compensation for adding bought out player at minimum deal

#4 Repeat severe luxury tax teams lose 2nd rounders
