2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Eh, if you're Phoenix, you don't really want Austin Rivers as your PG. Phoenix can pull together a different Ariza deal.

Yes, they can. This trade made 0 sense for anyone but Memphis but for whatever strange reason they backed out.

Not only did Jabari not crack the rotation in Chicago, he was removed. Who was the last player released by a team that ended up being an all-star that was not a planned move? I've seen better players do this kind of thing as part of the plan to sign someone else then be picked back up, but I can't think of a single player released like this who turned into anything.

Just say no to Jabari.

The only way we should consider signing Parker would be picking him up off waivers for cheap. Maybe a straight swap with Exum. Otherwise giving up any assets at all for him is beyond foolish.

Michael Jordan was cut from his 9th grade team or some ****... so he was basically released and he became the goat... Jabari will win many mvps (in China)

I love everything about this failed trade... they didn’t know which brooks they were agreeing on... somewhere Vlade is doing a fist pump for not being the laughing stock of executing a transaction.

I’m sure Kelly Oubre, Marshon Brooks and Wayne Selden will be super happy to go back to their teams.

chauncey billups went through a couple of teams before he became an all-star. I don't have the energy to see if he was waived or just traded.

**edit** No I don't think Parker is the new Billups

Tell them they're getting "Don." They agree to the trade thinking "Don-ovan" and Lindsey says, no, it's "Dan-te."

Was thinking we should sign a guy with the last name Mitchell and another Gobert... see if DL can troll someone.

Phoenix and Washington seeking a third team to deal. If only Phoenix wanted Exum and we could get Oubre. Why doesn’t Phoenix want Oubre?

If we swapped Exum for Oubre, we would have the most handsome professional sports team ever assembled. Not that I noticed or anything. . .

Regarding Parker, I guess it depends on what you think his real 3 pt % eventually is. Right now he is worse than Jae, so you could just imagine the wrath he would take around here bricking shots and playing zero defense.
He is rated as the WORST PF IN THE LEAGUE currently by RPM.

What a stupid ****ing stat. Its semi accurate for like the top10 players on good teams. Then strays off with a bunch of anomalies that cant be explained while trying to stay consistent in your belief that its definitive proof of how good of a basketball player you are.

But yet, you will still throw it out there as if it actually means something.

Lets name a few people listed with a higher RPM than Gobert

Paskal Sakiam ( who has a higher RPM than Kawhi)
Robert Covington(Who also has a higher RMP than Kawhi)
Danilio Gallinari(Who also has a higher RPM than Kawhi
Eric Bledsoe(yep, higher than Kawhi.)
Joe Ingles
Nikola Vucevic
And a few others.

So yep, all those players rated higher than Gobert and Kawhi.

Why stop there

Nemanja Bjelica
Boban Marjanovic
Jusuf Nurkic

All 3 higher than Kawhi.

Lets point out some more stupid ****.

Noah Vonleh, Dwight Powell, Kelly Olynyk higher than Victor Oladipo. All 3 in the top 40 of the NBA.

Bradley Beal and John Wall way doen the list at 110 and 111, with a bunch of trash in front of them.

Clint Capela at 284.

Klay Thompson at 316. Yep, that dude is trash. Wouldnt touch him with a 10 foot pole.

Ya, lets point that out one more time.

Klay Thompson has one of the worst RPM's in the league. Let that sink in.

Now someone again please try to explain why the **** anyone should take this stat seriously.

Parker only plays one side of the ball... Defense wins championships. The Warriors is arguably the highest scoring team in nba history (the past few years), but they win because they play defense.

Explain to me why Klay Thompson, who is regarded as a good defender has a horrible RPM on the best team in the league.

He is on the Warriors and as we all know, the Warriors are criticized for being too relaxed during the regular season. I don't know why his RPM is low, but it doesn't mean he isn't a good defender. The Warriors are a unique team in NBA history where they have 3 (if you don't count Green or Cousins) all-stars on their team. Honestly, they don't NEED to play defense to win games during the regular season. They just whomp on 80% of teams and only kinda step-up on the other 20%. During the playoffs is when they play better (past the first round).
