Detroit got him for a similar deal last year. And I would argue Exum represents a better asset than expiring injured Avery Bradley. The Detroit 1st probably projects to be 5-8 spaces higher, but that's about it.

Remember, Tobias Harris wasn't as big of an asset as he seems now.

Risky for sure, but he is just entering his prime now at 25 years old. Had two years of back to back 44% three point shooting, good sample size there.

He hasnt really regressed. He had a bad October, but then his efficiency went back up to his recent averages in November. He's really underutilized in their offense.

The knee injury is a bit worrisome... maybe they are just holding him out for precautionary reasons. I don’t think he’s been bad but I think he wasn’t necessarily “all in” to start the season... that environment is rough so I wouldn’t blame him. Watching Wall and Beal do all the fun stuff and blame everyone else when things go wrong is a thankless job.

Does he have a hip condition... I thought I read/heard something about that at one point.

I wonder if they go full re-build and trade Beal. At very least they should move Morris or others to suck the tax.

Does he have an Oladipo jump if he got more responsibility and a real coach/system? I think it’s a good gamble if it was expirings for Otto... if they want anything more significant then I’m not so sure I’d make the bet.

They may have some Exum interest now...

I wouldn't give up Exum tbh. If you trade for Porter, you are stuck with your team, so giving away talent isnt ideal. Washington, at most, should be looking to get off his contract and get a protected pick back.
