I think there was a period right before or during the time we traded for Korver where we were either blowing teams out or getting blown out.

Love has no trade value according to this article. The best the Cavs can hope for is to get out of his contract.
So that should either excite you about how low cost Love is, or confirm why you don't want him.
Personally I'd rather have SiakimI wish we could trade for Lauri. I dont think we could offer anything outside of Mitchell or Gobert that would even get Chicago to answer the phone but wow he would be great here. I would take him over any PF except Anthony Davis. I guess if you count Giannis and Embiid as a PF then those guys as well. There might be someone else that I am forgetting but I would take him over Porzingis, Griffin, Aldridge, Kuzma, Gordon, Love, and many others.
So lets hope Lindsey will grab one of them. Could be cheap, low risk, high reward solution if works out. There's a lot of guys in the G-League shooting similar percentages with better overall stats. It's not as absurd as it looks.
Unless Mitchell or Gobert is involved Toronto is not even talking about Siakam.Personally I'd rather have Siakim
They can't afford him if they keep Kawhi.Unless Mitchell or Gobert is involved Toronto is not even talking about Siakam.
They have one, his name is Georges Niang. He shot 53% from 3 last season for the Stars. So lets hope Lindsey will grab one of them. Could be cheap, low risk, high reward solution if works out.

Obviously they wont trade him this year, but if Leonard stays, they might have to next year.
Not a trade target, but I think I'm 100% in on Malcolm Brogdon. They might match any offer... but I think I'd go all the way up to his max... which is a little bananas, but I did some digging after watching him.
He is a light's out spot up 3 point shooter. He has size and can bounce between both guard positions. He shoots at the rim a lot... like almost half his shots and is finishing an obscene 66% from 0-3 feet. Don't think its a fluke either because he's done it two straight years. The only knocks I have on him is just FT rate and he doesn't have a midrange game (not a huge knock). Solid defensively... I don't think he's great there but I don't think he's negative defensive player. Would fit with both Exum and DM.
I think we can find a stretch four cheaper somewhere else and that Jae can really handle most of those minutes (I still think Royce is more of a small ball four than a wing).
It would be an OP Jr. esque overpay and they are very likely to still match imo but if you make the offer early they might have some pause.

They also have Cavanaugh, who has shot 45% and 43% from 3 in the G-League.
These guys arent rare in the G-League and it doesnt translate to being a useful player if that's all you can do.
Jae can't be a starter. His body barely holds up as a high minutes 6th man.
He falls off more than anyone on the team in fatigue heavy games.Don't see this as being true, but assume it is... we can find a token stretch 4 cheaper than a great fitting backourt option imo that lines up with the age of our building blocks.
He's a 2-way guy for Toronto. We want Boucher. We want Boucher.

While I think this is worth considering, the priority for this team is the same now as it has been for about four years now: A SERIOUS GOD DAMN PLAYER AT THE 4.Not a trade target, but I think I'm 100% in on Malcolm Brogdon. They might match any offer... but I think I'd go all the way up to his max... which is a little bananas, but I did some digging after watching him.

Slotting him as some off-the-bench gunner is a mistake. He's a real, winning basketball player, not some microwave scoring fluff. The numbers suggest the opposite is true... he's more effective/efficient as a starter throughout his career... his usage rate goes down, but TS% and other numbers go up.
When he logs 30-39 minutes he is much more efficient... might be more going on there as he might get more minutes when he has things going... but if as you suggest he falls off more than anyone on the team I'd think the numbers wouldn't be significantly better.
In the 13 games he's logged 30-39 minutes this year he averages 16/6 with a TS% of 61% in the games he's gotten 20-29 11/4 TS% of 53%
Career when getting 30-39 he is 14.4/5.6 with TS% of 58% 20-29 10/4 with TS% of 54%
Same is true as a starter... he's been significantly more effective throughout his career.
I like him as well, but not as much as Lauri. Siakim is better on defense but I like the height, ability to put the ball on the floor and drive, rebounding, pick and roll ability, shooting, and age better for Lauri.Personally I'd rather have Siakim
