Right. Which we've done nothing to address. The only way to protect the rim against 5-out offenses is with athletic wings. We'll see what happens with Bey and Woodard but I think at least one of them will be in the league and make us sad they aren't here.
No question.... our 1st rounder made no sense yesterday, and today it somehow makes even less.

Oni better turn out to be a ****ing Jedi.

Jazz have a pretty full roster:

Gobert / Favors / Udoka
O'Neale / Niang / Morgan
Bogdanovic / Ingles / Oni
Mitchell / Hughes
Conley / Clarkson /

Morgan, Oni and Niang need their options picked up, since they're non-guaranteed.

To many things here I disagree with to debate. I leave you to your usual pity party.
So the Warriors, Rockets, and Nuggets aren't awesome shooting teams? Those weren't their first or second most potent attributes? Which lineups did they EVER (I mean EVER) find it necessary to field two dinosaurs?

He’s making it sound like that’s it...but it can’t be, right?
Unless the Jazz are making trades, it's probably it.

This + bringing back the non-guaranteed guys and minimum contract players. If the Jazz are willing to pay a bit of luxury tax, they have the bi-annual exception (BAE), which starts at $3.6 million. That's all they can do.

We can't match the warriors in that way. They have two of the greatest shooters ever. Rockets are dead for a reason. We shot better than the nuggets that's not why we lost. Also we were even with nuggets. We needed depth and a healthy team.

I gotta believe the FO has a lot of faith in 1 of Oni, Brantley, Tucker to develop, considering we invested exactly $0 on perimeter defense.

Tony Jones said earlier today that the Jazz believe Oni is the best perimeter defender on the roster.

I do not understand why we brought Favors back for three years after drafting Udoka. So he is going to sit behind Rudy and Favors for 3 years. Now after signing Favors and Clarkson we have no money for an athletic wing. That is all the front office talked about was to get more athletic wings who would wreck spacing? Now we have three centers and Morgan can play their with a small ball lineup.

I think they're going to give minutes to Oni and Hughes.

Can't keep track of everything at this point, so maybe the point has been made:

Draft looking more and more like FA insurance (which turns out we didn't need immediately) -- still hope Dok & Hughes turn into good players.

So Jokic didn't neutralize our entire defense with his ability to drag Rudy out of the paint?

Can the BAE be spent/split on two players?

Honestly, I think there were guys on the Jazz that didn't want to be in the bubble any longer.
