I can bit don’t have time to check the math. I trust my own math... not that you aren’t reliable. You are very good at this stuff.

If we are truly in the luxury already, a trade must be coming. If not, Ryan Smith must be okay paying the luxury for 3 straight years. And what was the point of using assets to dump TB and Ed?

The Jazz's 6 guaranteed guys + 2 draft picks get them to 106.5.

Oni, Morgan, Niang and Brantley add maybe 6 to 112.5.

That's 11 or 12 players with the Jazz 26.5 under the apron.

Favs and JC could start as low as 20.2 in 20/21 if they're given max raises (sounds like they won't be).

So...the Jazz might be able to use the BAE and have 15 players under contract, depending on how the JC and Favs contracts are structured.

So Favors got a bigger deal than Wood. Interesting.
I would have thought Wood's market would be more robust than that.

Look it’s close but you really think they will butt right against it? I’m also not sure if Two ways count.

all the narrative points toward the Jazz relying on Miye for some minutes and there aren’t many left. The rotation is gonna be pretty tight when healthy. I’m guessing unless some amazing value comes along we fill out the roster with minimums.

Then again the way this offseason is going we will give whiteside the BAE.

To add, even if the Favs and JC contracts are flat, they'd start at 22, leaving slightly more than enough for the Jazz to use the BAE.

Bracing myself for at least three years of “who says that Wood would have even signed with us?” posts...
@Handlogten's Heros
Or Caruso or Bjelica or Shaq next year...

thise are my favorite along with “oh you would have taken Josh Hart or White when we drafted TB... lolz hindsight bruh”.

move joked for years that I could GM for half the teams in the league better than their current GMs by just doing obvious **** and not screwing up... I’m kind of believing it now.
