Hughes could be a JC type bench scorer in a few years. But he doesn't bring what we need that is size/defense at the wing.

I mean Azubuike looks to be the guy I thought Ed Davis was. Just bigger, stronger, and nastier with better touch around the rim.

Likely means that we are spending the exception on perimeter D, which is what we needed to do. No Favors though. . .

I’ve only watched a few clips since the pick was announced, but I definitely saw some good defensive moments (blocks, strip steal) and some good interior passing. What makes people say he is a poor defender? Looks super athletic to me.

Hughes has range on his jump shot and can slash to the basket. I like the pick I think he can replace Royce if his defense is ok. Best scenario is he can help with our bench scoring.
