we can simply send JJ directly to the stars if we don't like what we see. and in JJ's recent G-league games and his interviews it does sound like the kid's trying to save his young career and just wanna play ball.

different story with ariza/morris since both will be contracted thru next season and significant lockerroom presence given their age/experience. so if they don't pan out, it will become an issue.

If Ed gets traded then my vote is Willie Reed. Good length and active on defense and .333 3pt percentage. He gives the Jazz a different look and a big body not demanding for time and is affordable.

I’d rather just keep Conley coming off the bench like he has. The fact that Morris is happy in NY and wants to stay there kinda tells me where his head is at.

Yeah Knicks Pfs are nice. But their Pgs... Not so much. I wouldn't touch any of them. Let alone taking on 2. Those are just bad NBA players who will likely be out of the league in a year or two. Payton included if he can't stay healthy

Keep giving chances to those high prospects who didn't pan out and hope they finally turn into something. Worst case scenario it'd still be a solid addition to their g league roster. I wish we can try that sorta experiment more. You don't get a top 5 scoring bench out of nowhere.

Yeah I think our front office is kinda doing this too. Cut a respected vet and guaranteed two of the best players in the G League. Not high former draft picks obviously, but hey they might become rotation players or trade sweeteners which is something Jeff Green clearly couldn’t be.
