2020 Presidential election

I agree with everything you said. Its to what degree is the actual truth.

I feel like from my own personal experience and anecdotal evidence there arent that many of these outright racists. Its very few. Probably more sexists than racists though, but that has a lot to do with woman and men not understanding each other and having relationship problems.

Either way. I dont think the sexists or the racists are dictating who gets elected. I think reasonable people out number the crazy people.

I voted for Trump, and Id vote for a woman, a black man, another celebrity, whatever. Im not voting for another fake politician type again.

Im here to fight against this idiotic notion that Trump voters are all a bunch of stupid racist sexists. Its a cop out to what actually happened. The Democrats and Republicans put out trash and lost. Its pretty simple. The guy who was neither won.
I'd argue with you only on the point of whether or not Trump is trash.

Almost no one thinks all Trump voters are racists and sexists.
Idiots for voting for such a horrible candidate? Sure.

I don't know if I'd even go that far, there is a decent amount of recency bias in that comment. Most of the people I know who voted for Trump did so primarily to vote against Hillary, or as a non-establishment candidate. And really at the time most people saw him as more of a clueless clown than the truly destructive horrible person he's turned out to be. And most of the people I know who voted for Trump regret it now.

or as a non-establishment candidate.

I think the people who voted for him for that reason should get the label of idiot.
I mean you only vote for someone because they are not qualified and are inexperienced? That's why hack voted for him and he is definitely an idiot.

That's like choosing who you would hire as your accountant for your company by finding the person who is the worst at math and hiring them.

Yeah but didn’t you see how triggered you made the HR department by hiring that clueless clown to be the accountant? Drink those HR snowflake tears! #owntheHRnerds

I think most like that viewed it as not hiring yet another buddy from the golf club more than trying to hire a janitor to be the CFO.

I can't believe that anyone who is paying attention to the current dialogue could make this claim with a straight face.

Whoops: I overlooked the "all" comment. Nevertheless, racism in particular is the go-to attack for many in the anti-Trump crowd. Sexism is not far behind.

My anti Trumpness is focused on his childishness, douchebaggery, and idiocy. I think that is most people's problem with Trump first and foremost. Sure people think Trump is racist and sexist (I certainly do.) but it's the fact that he is a childish classless idiotic douchebag that rubs most people wrong in my experience.
When I hear friends or Co workers talk **** on Trump it's almost never about him being racist or sexist. It's about him just being a dumbass no class douchebag.

Okay, our experiences are different. When I express support for Trump policies on this site (which is an experience I realize that you've never had) the accusations of racism rain down upon me. I am very confident that in the real world nobody who knows me ever thinks of me as a racist at all. I do not think Trump is a good guy either, but my opinion of him is not nearly as low as yours. I think the media portrayal of Trump is absurd.

Fwiw my opinion of him was already that low before he ever even ran for president.
He has been a childish douchebag for as long as I have ever known of him

Many of Trump's policies are racist/sexist, certainly in effect.

I am very confident that in the real world nobody who knows me ever thinks of me as a racist at all.

Some people think you need to be a KKK member (or something similar) to be racist. However, we all have racist biases built into our reactions simply bt being raised in a racist culture.

I do not think Trump is a good guy either, but my opinion of him is not nearly as low as yours. I think the media portrayal of Trump is absurd.

Well, Trump is absurd, ...

This is true. I told my wife that I could never support enslaving another race. But I’m totally racist/biased against Asians. Whenever I see an Asian behind the steering wheel or running me over at a National Park taking selfies, I get anxious. I’m trying to work on it to be less judgmental. I’m sure many other races see me and think I’m a petty obnoxious ignorant white dude with a dad bod. They’re probably right. And I’m not even sure they’re being racist or biased. It could be a pretty damn accurate observation.

That’s been his thing!!!

That’s whats annoying as hell to me. The overt racism and sexism aside.

He’s been mocking our laws (i skip out on paying taxes unlike you little people) and being a selfish douche for as long as i can remember. He got joy out of firing people.

Yet the losers of our society support him? What does trump who ***** in a golden toilet have in common with the truck driver making $35k? Or with the laid off steelworker whose boss, like trump, saw that by saying, “you’re fired”, he could make a few extra pennies?

Why does trump have such a cult following? Losers trying to live vicariously through him?

He has a cult following because he is the one who broke the mold. Even with warts and all.

Whether you want to admit it or not it pretty impressive how he became president with all the obstacles he was faced with. Both parties and all of the media was against him. He was practically against himself with all the bagage he has.

That, and the left is extremely annoying at the moment and he is viewed as the last hope to save us from the crazy people. Like you

Yeah, he managed to overthrow the reign of the giant douche and replace it with the almighty **** sandwich. Hazzah!

Lmfao. Last hope. Hahaha

Sadly, I have people I genuinely care for that view him this way.
