Oh no doubt, I was making a joke.
I think it's unlikely that Bernie gets the nomination. I don't think the DNC really likes him. Getting him to pull out of the race at some point may be like pulling teeth, however.
I'd be surprised if Trump would do this. Is there a more reliable source reporting this (other than Washington Post and MSNBC)?

It’s being reported by most major news agencies. If you’re waiting for Fox News to report it then I guess you’ll be disappointed. But the post is far more accurate than Fox News.

He said he would accept foreign help in an election, (and he certainly knew Putin and Russia were helping him in 2016, according to Mueller's report), so it may just be a small step to believe he would actually pressure a foreign government to help...

My guess would be because the president has been distracted the last 3 days by trying to prove that he was right about the trajectory of the hurricane hitting Alabama rather than focusing on stuff that actually matters.
