President Trump
is gaining among independent voters in head-to-head matchups with the Democratic presidential front-runners, according to a new IBD-TIPP poll.

Former Vice President Joe Biden leads Trump by just 1 point among independents, which is down from Biden's 18-point lead among the voting group in September.

In a head-to-head matchup with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), 49 percent of independents backed Trump, while 43 percent threw their support behind the senator in the poll, which was released on Monday.

A 4-point gap separated Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Trump, with the president receiving 48 percent support among independents and Sanders garnering 44 percent.

Warren led Trump with independents by 2 points in the September poll, while Sanders led the president by 9 points.

The new poll comes as tensions between Trump and Biden have risen on the campaign trail as the president has intensified his attacks against the former vice president, accusing Biden of efforts to pressure Ukraine to dismiss a senior prosecutor who at one point had investigated an energy company where Biden's son had served as a board member.

Polls can be fun

While I understand where she's coming from I don't agree with boycotting the debate, she should appear on stage and take it by storm by denouncing this democratic travesty live, on national TV. Mistress of truth, Trump killer, Lady Political Boner.

Exactly, his non-political experience might have kept him away from the political corruption that infests the two main parties.

Good observation bro!

Can you name another elected president in our nation’s history who did not have any prior political or military experience? What was he like?

Do you not think that Yang would be a better president than Trump? I just don’t think that your point is all that relevant. Give me someone that doesn’t make an *** out of himself and brings real tangible changes for the people.

I don’t know whether he would or wouldn’t be.

What I do know is that expertise matters. Don’t you think it wise to elect someone to the highest level of government who has maybe just a little bit of experience in government?

Don’t you think there’s a reason so few people without experience in politics or the military have been elected to the office of President?

Would we hire someone to coach the jazz who had no experience coaching or playing in the NBA? Why?

Would you trust just anyone to perform a surgery on you? Or would you seek a professional?

Why shouldn’t the office of president be any different?

Expertise matters. If Yang wants to try politics, let’s see him do it as local politics. If he shows he’s competent there, try state politics. Then try national.

Why are we rushing to give the least knowledgeable and least experienced the ability to kill billions of people? To lead our justice department and law enforcement? To be the most influential member of our society? Why? To me, expertise is extremely relevant.

I think this is indicative of the larger problem we have in our society; the devaluation of knowledge and expertise. You’d think people like @Jazzta would understand the value of this after seeing trump. But then again, @Jazzta is naive enough to deny Russia’s attack on us in 2016. So I need to keep that in mind in considering the sources of someone who clearly doesn’t value knowledge or expertise.

The type of absolute garbage you consume in the form of media on a daily basis is astounding. And the level of it you consume and then think you should share on Jazzfanz speaks volumes about how absolutely meaningless your point of view is.

Arnold Schwarzenegger would make a great president imo. Too bad he can't run.

Roast me for what it's worth, but the guy is solid.

That’s a monster of it’s own, I don’t see how you can attempt to make a point with such a comparison.

Established politicians have established bases of support and financial backers. We know what they have done, and what their backers will allow. Yang will be a complete mystery in that regard, but he will have backers, and we don't know what they will expect from him.
