Holy crap that would be awesome. Who would take trumps place against Biden? Would be interesting to see how I would vote or if I would even vote if trump wasn't a possibility.

Nikki Haley and Mitt Romney are on the short list, but Mike Pence is at the top of the list.

I'd vote for Nikki Haley over Biden.

I'd go for Mitt Romney over Biden.

Big no on Pence, the enabler.

That’s where I’m at, too. The dude is pretty binary when it comes to winning (his twisted version) and losing (again, very twisted).
 
Trump can’t drop out. His only chance of not going to prison is to stay in the White House. So for him, it’s either White House or bust. This is far from over. He will use interference from Russia, hacked information from anywhere, lies from Fox News, and I think he’ll try to stir up some crazies in his base to assassinate Biden. Yes, he’ll try to play that cute game of, “I didn’t mean x or I didn’t tell him to do y” but we all know he’ll use whatever means, legal or illegal, to try to hold onto the White House.
 
And really, why would Trump drop out? That would be him showing weakness and basically apologizing and saying 'I'm a failure.' When has he apologized for anything?

Nah, he'll ride it out for better or for worse and scorch the earth on the way out. Remember, post-presidency, he'll still have a large base of people and influence. Don't be surprised to see him launch his own network or put more influence behind OAN as a sounding board.

The end of his presidency doesn't mean the end of Trump - not when there's money to be made or power to be gained.

I could see him trying to spin it like "I would have won but I just got bored being president and wanted to something better" or something like that..... If he was certain he was going to get his *** kicked in the election.
Like losing big in the election would hurt his ego more than him saying he didn't get beat, he just wanted to go another direction. It was his choice and he could have won the election if he wanted to he just didn't want to

Under normal circumstances, this could work, but nothing about these days are normal. Trump has already called his shot that if he loses, it's because the election was stolen from him by mail-in voting, illegal aliens and foreign adversaries. That cake is still in the oven and will be all you hear from him November 4 - January 20. 2.5 months of Twitter tantrums, legal maneuvers and press conferences suggesting it as the biggest, most corrupt scandal in the history of the world - let's just hope things don't turn violent.

Keep in mind that ballot deadlines are also drawing near as many states start the process of printing ballots and executing their November generals. You'd have to write-in another R candidate if you're past these deadlines and that's simply not a mechanism for a majority.

It's Trump v. Biden in November - how we got here is something we should all question to ourselves, but it's the hand we've been dealt.
