I get your point, but if true then it would be very hard to find anything on Amazon that had a higher than 2 star rating.
Which isn't the case. I see tons of items with very favorable reviews. The bad reviews seem to be in the minority.

Same with sports for me. I talk about and post about the jazz and byu a lot more when I'm happy with their performance than I do when I'm unhappy with them.

I don’t want trump to flee the country. I want him and his family and cabinet members who’ve committed crimes to be prosecuted. I don’t think we should give a free pass to Those who created and enforced the child separation policies. People need to be prosecuted. Such a horrendous act should never happen again.

Few things for me:

- A lot of people avoid GD because it’s a place of conflict. In JF main forums, we are all fans and pretty united when the team is doing good and pretty pissed when they aren’t. Biggest gripes are usually about who to draft and who to trade.

- A good percentage of the Trump demographic in Utah will skew older and won’t use JF. Not all by any means, but a good chunk. Younger Utahns have trended to be a bit more liberal/moderate than their parents and might not frequent these parts as much.

- Being a Trump supporter brings a stereotype that’s not always fair as a backwoods, racist hick. It’s silly to think that all Trump supporters are that way just like any liberal is some millennial sleeping on the couch in their parent’s basement drinking lattes. There are people on the site who probably wouldn’t subject themselves to saying they vote for Trump because they may think it to be unpopular right now with our social dynamic.

- I am on many sports forums and the one consistency in all of them is that only a tiny fraction of people visit the General forums. Those people tend to be very outspoken - admittedly, all of us in this forum aren’t afraid and tend to voice our opinion.

- Lastly, I do think that some individuals aren’t necessarily fans of Trump, but they are fans of the Republican agenda so they will vote for him to push Republican policies. They are less likely to come into the forum and stand up for Trump as they may dislike him personally but prefer a Republican in the drivers seat.

Always appreciate the dialogue even if we disagree.

Would be interesting to see what would happen if the democrats had a good candidate going up against trump.

Like imagine a young 2008 era Obama running against trump.

I imagine that there are many people like tfivas who will vote trump but don't like him, but think Biden sucks really bad who would vote for a candidate like Obama. I imagine it would be a huge blowout.

Instead, due to having Biden as the alternative this election will be much closer than any election involving trump should ever be. (just like 2016)

Man I would love to have a really good candidate to vote for.

Let's all write in vote for Kalani Sitake! (Just kidding, let's just focus and getting trump out of our lives as much as possible)

What did he say about the white supremacists in Charlotteville? There are good people on both side, despite the fact that one of the white supremacists drove a car into the protesters, killing one of them. WTF is wrong with you. I don't think that's the case at all. I believe that Biden and his deteriorating mental health condition is actually an advantage. Why? Because I think people can sympathize and feel sorry for him. And when Trump acts mean towards him, it might turn off potential Trump voters.

One can argue that Trump is taking the same approach to Biden that he took against Hilary. But against Hilary it worked in his favor, since Hilary is unlikeable.

This situation is similar to the Bush vs Gore election imo. Gore seemed or was the more intelligent candidate, but he was also an ******* to the nicer candidate. And I believe that had a huge impact on the election result.

I think you are way way off here
People voting for Biden arent doing it because they feel sorry for him. They are voting for Biden because A. They think he is a great candidate (not very many are voting for him for this reason imo). B. They are democrats and always vote for the Democrat (probably most of Bidens votes come from this group) or C. They are sick of trump and want him gone (a large number of votes for Biden will be for this reason)

I have talked to a number of people voting for Biden in real life to their faces and on social media and I have literally never heard anyone say they are voting for Biden out of pity. In fact your post is the first time I have even heard the theory uttered. I think you are losing it.

Your small sample size of talking to people in real life has no more credibility than my theory. It's not unreasonable to think that undecided voters in swing states might be turned off by Trump being an ******* towards Biden causing them to either:
A. Not vote at all or vote 3rd party
B. Vote for Biden

I don't think your category A would have played much of a factor in this election (even if the candidate was considered "great" by the Democrats). I think how each party as a whole approaches topics such as the pandemic, social justice issues, and media censorship plays the greatest role. Once this is accounted for, the impact of having a great candidate is negligible.

I can agree with this post. Sure undecideds might vote for Biden because trump is a dick. That's why I'm voting for Biden. That's not the same as voting for Biden because I feel bad for Biden though like your theory had said.

Why would anyone who doesn't like Biden care if his feelings get hurt by trump. Nobody who doesn't like Biden would vote for him cause they feel sorry him. Voting for Biden because trump is acting like a dick to Biden is different than voting for Biden cause you feel sorry for him.

It was also all social media, television, news etc. That's tens of thousands of people.
Never even heard of anyone voting for Biden cause they feel sorry for him. Never even heard the theory before.

I don't think any of this actually matters in this election. So many votes have already been made and the ones that haven't all know who they are voting for.
I do think it matters that it is happening at all though and it should be stopped if possible just because it's the right thing to do for our future elections

Ok, I can see how my words are confusing now. The first part "sympathize and feel sorry for him" is a condition that must be met in order for Trump acting like ******* toward's Biden to have an effect. But to make that clear, I should have switched the order of my statements. That is:

When Trump acts like an ******* towards Biden, people can sympathize and feel sorry for him.

Unlike in the case with Hilary, where a lot of people did not sympathize with her.
