2021 Free Agency

Explain? Losing Lonzo and adding Graham? What else did they do? They aren’t making the playoffs anytime soon.
Upgraded Adams (2 years $35 million) with JV (1 year $14 million)

Dumped Bledsoe ($21 million this year, at least $4 next year)

Lost Lonzo (4 years $85 million)

Dropped 7 spots in the draft

Lost a top 20 protected 2022 Laker pick

Signed Graham (4 years $47 million)

Still have room this summer or next to use numerous picks and cap space to make a big splash.

So they essentially cut salary, lost a 1st, swapped Adams for Valanciunas and swapped Lonzo for Graham.

That doesn’t scream "killing it" to me sorry man. They are mediocre after all of these moves and will continue to be.

I think swapping Graham is going to be regarded as an excellent move down the line. They still have a long way to go, but they low key have done well.
Maybe no home runs, but a couple singles and a triple.

Graham is like 10mil cheaper so they should have the cap space to bring in another helper but yeah, Lonzo is a better player all around.

That’s what I’m saying. This dude acts like we overpaid Conley but is applauding swapping Lonzo for Graham lmao.

I said they have done so well.

In addition, they have a few young guys they have carved out playing time for now.

They cleaned up their cap situation and are one big addition away from having a really good young core of Zion, Ingram, Graham, their young guys and whoever they add.

One thing that is hilarious is that the one guy that isn't getting overpaid this year is "100M" Schroeder. He turned down a 4/84 extension last year thinking he'd get way more in FA- that's almost Conley money. Maaaaan that blew up in his face.

Please tell me one of these millions of signings used their MLE.

Who’s the target from here? All the big names are gone this off-season and why would anyone want to go play with them next year?
