You didn’t even mention that Thybulle is young and a hinge piece for a potential rebuild.

Additionally, I think Clarkson’s market value plummets after the trade deadline this year:
-he’s on the cusp of 30
-he would be on an expiring contract

Very true and he had a pretty bad regression efficiency wise this year.

The thing that sucks about Clarkson is that he would be really really good if he had a modicum of passing awareness. This past year was definitely a fluke for bad 3pt shooting.

Saw a report that Grizz were interested in Joe and might go up to MLE type numbers... I don't think Joe is anything more than a minimum dude until he proves he's back and healthy. That seems like a wild amount... good on him if he gets it I guess.

The Jazz need to find ways to extend the value of their current assets anyway they can and Thybulle helps with that.
Except isn't Thybulle on the last year of his rookie contract? That means you need to be willing to pay him next year. We know Clarkson is on a good contract for the next two years.

If he is healthy, his shooting and passing makes him a great fit with Ja.

He's a good dude and they're a young team. They are paying for his charming personality.

Well, then I'll say the same thing my wife always says to me "Looks smaller than it actually is"
6’ 4.25” in shoes which is not much taller than Mitchell (who constantly gets undersold since he’s functionally 6’ 3”, not 6’ 1”).

So… kinda middling in terms of size for position(s).

Between having free agency rights on a dude entering his prime and strictly Bird Rights on a dude that’s leaving his prime, it’s not a hard call to me given that this likely is nuked in the next two years.

The injury is a one year injury for younger dudes... at Joe's age I think its a career ender (at least as a top 7-8 player on a solid team).

Why not retain Kyle Anderson for that amount?

Curious about the Oladipo report. Doesn't make much sense. At least in terms of why he would come here and how we would get him here. I really liked him and his defense, at least pre-injury. I heard there were maybe some personality things with him. Not sure how true. He'd be a better defensive pairing, though I haven't seen his defense since the injury.
