Indiana selects SF: Brice Sensabaugh - Ohio State
I’d prefer one or the other, plus a wing. . . but I wouldn’t hate it either.I would be pretty happy if the Jazz ended up with Cason Wallace and JHS out of this draft.
I believe JHS is 6'6"This draft is my nightmare. No height. 6'6" or higher please.
Earholed - nice pickKyle Filipowski
No obvious pick. Jazz decide to double down, and perhaps get their new backcourt of the future
Pick #12: Jalen Hood-Schifino
Don't love it, but that's what I'm going with for now. Would love to hear what everyone else would have done here. I considered a bunch of dudes.
Earholed - nice pick
Indiana Pacers select - PF: Noah Clowney - Alabama
I like this pick... Wallace, JHS, Whitehead... congrats on not effing it up... instead of hisses and boos I will give you rah rahs.Elizah ruined the bit.
Jazz are up, of course they will be selecting the freshman from the Duke. The forward Handlogten Loves.
Pick #28: Dariq Whitehead
I don't love Jett but I'd probably take him and hope he isn't just a shooter or I'd reach for Sidy.So I've been thinking about the combo of players we might draft. I don't necessarily mind taking two combo guards, especially because I would consider Cason a "safe" pick and JHS more of an upside pick. JHS is not my personal favorite as I mentioned before, so I would have gone George. IMO, he has more potential as a high end scorer because he's better at all the Morey spots: Rim, FT line, and 3 ball. Keyonte isn't efficient, but I believe he has a better foundation with an edge in those three areas. Cason and George are the two highest guys on my board in this position. I guess you could put Nick Smith here as an upside pick as well.
The other route you could go is wing, there's a lot of them. I would consider Sidy, Brice, Jett, Hawkins, Whitehead, Rupert, and Coulibaly (personal favorite). I don't necessarily look at these guys as high upside besides Coulibaly. Maybe you throw in GG here as an upside play, but not my type of prospect either.
It does look like wing prospects are falling and I like the later guard options (Bufkin/Bailey). I think the value of our last pick is strong. What I'm gathering is there will be a lot of options and we probably don't need to trade up unless is for a high tier guy at the beginning of the draft.
Would be good to see different scenarios... Our draft position is also really fluid so I'm guessing it would change quite a bit. Next time maybe we allow trades if they can be completed in an hour or so.This was quick and fun. We should do it once a week until the draft. Let someone else agonize over these Jazz picks.
I kind of like how quickly it went. I’d say keep trades out for now, but do a couple more with up to date standings and draft situations.Would be good to see different scenarios... I'm shocked @Saint Cy of JFC passed on him multiple times after telling me he is a lotto prospect but at least you are true to your draft board. Also something poetic about the Hornets going from Cody Zeller to Mason Plumlee to Flip (I'm kidding but the joke was too obvious for me to ignore).Kyle Filipowski

I've liked Cason the more I've watched him... if Cason and Ochai are your starting backcourt I have some questions though. I'd need a pretty dynamic 3 with the ball. Maybe you go get Demar on the cheap or go all in on Brown (but the knock on him is passing). Maybe you combine it with signing FVV and bring Cason off the bench for a few years? I know they said they wanted to start Ochai next year... maybe they run him at the three?
