2023 NBA Draft Megathread

mock or big board? I mean how can anyone legit have a mock without knowing who is picking? I guess we can go by bpa but overall a lot of variables to factor after Wemby that is almost a lock to be different outcomes. Based all on who has the podium. btw there is no way Bufkin declares imo
bufkin had a really good year and is still very young. he'll declare.

Bama proving they can get it done even when Miller is a chucker shooting 25% from the floor and 28% from 3 is not a good look for A&M
Not a good look for Miller either imo.
I do think Quinerly might have had a job in the league if he played like this more often.
My only other take outside of Clowny showing something with his shooting, is Bediako could be a 2nd round steal if he can clean up his mental mistakes
lol. dropped 23 on 20 shots (not great, but not bad efficiency) and had 12 rebs and 4 assists and played very good defense. great players even when the shot isn't falling, they get to the line (and make their FTs), they rebound, defend and they make plays.

leonard miller continues to dominate. 18 pts on 7-9 FGs and 21 rebs in the ignite's last game. sidy went 1-10 and had 5 points and scoot didn't play, but miller just continues to show up and show out. dude just doesn't have bad games - hell, lately he hardley even has average games.

Yeah Sidy has cooled off. Still high on him. Leonard does the dirty work that is very repeatable game to game. I like that he does the basics well

inconsistency from Sidy doesn't bother me much - it's normal with young players and i still really like his length, skillset and athleticism. but that's why miller's consistency is so impressive - 18 year olds just don't do what he's doing at this level with this sort of consistency.

Henricks now up to 10th.

****.

That would be great for us. It means it would push a better player down to us if he goes top-10. Also, he moved Miller up to #2. Flip at 25 is hilarious. Let’s just remember this is one guys big board.

Sorry you are so pressed about it. This thread isnt just about Jazz needs to me.
Its just weird that if he is a lotto talent on the rise we wouldn't be interested in him with a pick outside the lottery.

I think it's a pretty fluid draft in some ranges. I don't have those ranges completely nailed down yet. Flip could move to the point where I think he is worth that 2nd pick for the Jazz. Nothing is in stone for me right now other than Wemby at #1.

I just post highlights of dudes who are balling and Flip is currently in balling mode.

KOC has actually had him at #10 for a while. He's been on the wagon.

I think unless Sidy has amazing measurements or does awesome at the Combine or something that we will have a chance to get one of these guys with the Philly pick. At very least I think we can package the Philly pick with something to pop up 5-6 spots and nab one of them. I still think NBA scouts and front offices are generally slow to adapt and really risk averse. So the G League guys likely slip a little further than they should. Happy to get either with that pick or a combo of the pick and some other asset.

Oh ok I swear I saw the ringer recent mock that had him at #14 before..
KOC does his draft board and then they do a mock. The mock still has him #14... Not sure if that's how KOC thinks the teams would draft or how he would draft considering team needs.

Not to beat the Duncan Robinson dead horse... but say you took the Philly pick and traded for Robinson, #20 (where the heat are right now) and got another future first... Could also do something smaller of course. They are a partner in that range we could help... whether its Lowry or Duncan.

check out penn state's seth lundy as a poor man's desmond bane comp. their shooting/scoring stats are nearly identical, rebound numbers identical, height/wt identical, both 4 year players. bane was a better playmaker for others which probably speaks to a superior overall skillset and bball iq. but lundy is twice as good at getting to the line, so from a ballhandling and scoring standpoint, that could bode well for him. due to the FTA disparity, Lundy is actually a bit more efficient overall. anyway, not saying lundy can be bane because bane's trajectory is rare, but he might not be a bad pick in the second round.

I’ve been super uninterested in second round guys this year. I don’t think we pick up a second rounder with a potential roster crunch between adding three firsts, the guys we have returning, and potentially adding a couple other vets.

I'm sure everyone's like "when is Bodhi going to update his big board?!?!"

I'm personally holding out really making calls on anything from now until a week or so before draft night. To me its like 2 seasons to this: In regular season and then tourney-workouts. SO much will change between now and June.

I still have a bad taste in my mouth for how awful Leonard Miller was in the two Wenby games, but his numbers areimpressive. I haven't kept up with him this year, is his shot still fugly? He's good from the line at least.
