They clearly have an offer on the table to move back 3 - 6 spots. Indiana definitely wants to move up. Orlando as well. The jazz should. I think all could make good offers but orlando makes the most sense to me.

I don't think he busts, per se. He'll fill a role. At the end of the day though, I just don't think he's that special.

Hendricks scores 5 points in a conference tourney game, the guy he guards scores 32.
The whole premise of my post is around the fact that our front office, coach, and players have consistently talked about a short rebuild, and so my assumption is that we will be trying to win next year. If that's just noise and not true, then yeah I would assume a project like Bilal would get some more playing time.
Even then, I feel like Hardy and staff believe in a slow development process. Even a 4 year guy like Ochai spent time in the G-League when he wasn't ready for the NBA right away.
I think this is important to remember as we talk about all of these guys that we really like, most of them won't live up to our lofty expectations of them. I don't think it's crazy for you not to believe in Hendricks, even though I disagree with you. Locke has talked about Hendrick's general lack of feel for the game, so him taking some time to learn that could be a second team scenario. For the record, I'm not sure if I agree with Locke, but if he's right then that would make sense.
Personally I have Hendricks as a very high floor player just because every team needs shooting and rim protection, and there are few players to project to be as talented in both those areas as he is.
Kind of an interesting thought though, if you had to pick 4 of the top ten that end up as below league average players, who would you pick?
I think the most likely would be Thompson Twins, Walker, and Black. The reasoning for all of them is shooting. If you can't shoot and you aren't a center, you are very likely a below league average player.
I haven't thought too hard about this, so I could be swayed. I do recognize that shooting is one of the more likely weaknesses to be improved on.

I'm less inclined to take someone who can't shoot, simply because of the point you noted. That said, they can develop (Lonzo and Horford, etc.), but it can take years to do.

I do continue to be apprehensive about Hendricks though. "Bad feel for the game" is not a weakness that I can just brush aside. I think people are way too bullish on his low end outcome, he might just be bad in the league. But his profile and stats are pretty great, and if the top 8 goes how we expect and he is sitting there, he still just seems like an obvious pick. I think I have him at #9 at this point though, and would prefer Black over him. And kind of hoping someone just takes the decision out of our hands before we pick.
The narrative was that Atlanta might be willing to pay to get off JC, so yes, he might be basically free.

How does his bad feel for the game manifest? Cuz the scouting report on him is he makes really good rotations and good defensive reads. He may have a limited offensive ceiling. He may never self create. And even with that he may still be a high level starter. Cy acting like he’s horrible is absolutely a sign we should draft the **** out of him.

I have no idea, I don't think I've ever even seen the dude on a basketball court, my opinions are always just second hand after reading other peoples thoughts and analysis. Which is why I'll talk myself into anyone pretty much no matter what. I don't follow the Cy thing. Is there a long track record of him not liking dudes and then they turn out amazing? All I know is that he has a pretty good track record advocating for some lower end prospects who end up pretty good.
