2023 NBA Draft Megathread

It’s also some weirdo stuff to **** on the guy we drafted to hype up someone who’s not on our team for the sake of being right but whatever. Same type of guys who wanted Minnesota to be good lmao.
I'm sure every Jazz fan wants Hendricks to be good... I think conversations after such a hotly debated draft class are the most natural thing ever. I'd get used to it.

Also, it seems your answer is no on your opinion on Bilal changing at all? You would still have him #25 or whatever if we redrafted today?

The medical red flags scared me less than the reports about attitude and stuff... that stuff is a lot harder to fix if it really is a problem. I love the player type he projects to be and if he buys in (these guys are kids and definitely will mature) then look out.

Or it can turn into a miles bridges situation where the kid gets millions of dollars and doesn’t know how to act

But what to you does not look translatable in those Bilal clips? Have your thoughts not changed on him at all?
He looks awesome… it’s early doe… Jared Butler was a preseason stud once upon a time. I would take the Wiz first game with all the grains of salt but he was good in the second game too.

Bilal seems to have improved from summer league until now. There have been plenty of raw international prospects that were fools gold… Bilal seems to be on the right trajectory.

The draft is an inexact science… the guys taking victory laps based on a couple preseason games have also had major dunce moves too. Not sure on @KqWIN but I know Cy does at least. For instance where are all the posts about how great JHS has been in his first two preseason games? It’s real quiet on that front… wonder why?

Just venting my feelings. I hope Hendricks proves me wrong, but I doubt it because I'm usually right.

Now you’re just trolling lol. I hope for your sake you are right about something soon. It to be tough being wrong all the time and not just wrong but dead wrong. Hope you’re doing good mentally.

If you really believe that first line you’re sorely mistaken. Guys were actively rooting for Minnesota last year just so they could be right which would hurt our pick.

Can I see half a season before talking about re-ranking guys? It’s literally two preseason games.

I wouldn't count on it but hopefully Hardy will sit a few starters in one of the remaining games so that we see Hendricks get some heavy minutes to show us a few things. The same goes for Sensabaugh.

I'm wrong that Jazz fans want Hendricks to be good? Any 'Jazz fan' who doesn't isn't worth the time of day, I wouldn't pay them any mind.

You can have as long as you want, I was just curious. There's nothing to do right now. I'm wondering if you've seen anything that has you thinking differently, while we are in the doldrums before the season. It's not meant to be a rude question or a 'gotcha'...

Also having a guy 12-13th on your draft board instead of 6-7th isn't hating...

Bilal had some rough outings his first couple summer league games... put the shoes on the other feet where Bilal had to miss summer league and Taylor played... do we think it might look a little different? Maybe not but I wouldn't assume Bilal comes in and lights the world on fire here if he had missed summer league.

How dumb did you have to be not to recognize Bilal was clearly a top 8 guy? He's already improved a **** load against after improving a **** load during the season. This guy is going to be a legit all-star by the end of his rookie contract. Nasty stuff.

I don’t think any national draft pundits who do this for living had Bilal in the top-8 of their big board.

The guy who is taking victory laps after two preseason games had JHS ranked above Bilal lol.

I pushed Bilal hard too. So frustrating that we came this close to getting him. Oh well, it is still early. He looks quick but he can be weak against real power players. Those threes he hit were really nice - his aggression on offense was a big question for me.

That size length and instincts aren't going anywhere...
I remember Michael kidd Gilchrist being an even higher draft pick than bilal and he had all kinds of gifts that weren't going anywhere.
I'm sure there are hundreds of examples.

Don’t make me post the picture or MKG’s jumpshot. Point taken, but I’m definitely buying more and more Bilal stock. Even knowing he’s on the Wizards. Will be interesting to watch the draft class develop and debate it around here forever.
Yep. I was hoping we could draft him 16. Weird way to hate a guy
Didn’t Cy have Hendricks around #16?

I had him 20th
