2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Why would I deny being right? I watch games bud. If you watch Anthony Black operate on a basketball court and then watch Amari Bailey and come to the conclusion that they are comparable I really can't argue with you because you are wearing drunk glasses while watching basketball or something.

Oh we watch the games...huh? This is hilarious. You were the one who did the "stat analysis" on Bailey lol. You justified him being a "most mid range scorer" based on the numbers. The numbers did not bear this out at all bwt...but the real problem is you had a make believe idea of "what the modern NBA game is"....got proven you were wrong....and still tried to lecture me on your false made up understanding of the modern NBA game.

I like Bailey for the same reasons I like Black. Their defense, athleticism, finishing at the basket, and passing/playmaking potential. You have never had an argument besides your fake made believe analysis about the modern NBA game. You say "I watch the games lolz" which is not a real argument. I watch the games as well, and for all we know, you also made up this point up. It's meaningless, just like your fake made up statistical analysis and understanding of the NBA game.

Seriously, why did you make that up and expect anyone to respect you? Probably because that fake **** flies all the time here, but to me it's just something to laugh at. No one should be taken seriously when they so willingly make **** up for the sake of argument.

You are very odd. Bailey is a midrange scorer. Clear as day if you watch him that's his comfort shot but he played on a team where it wasn't encouraged so he had to fill a role. You lack the ability to contextualize what you watch so you fall back on the numbers you can find that fit your narrative.

You literally used stats to justify this. You contextualized this compared to the NBA. Again, YOU did this. This is the exact argument you made. Turns out you have no understanding of what you were talking about and made it up to fit your narrative. Why did you make that up? That was odd to me.

It was me who said, I don't think mid range will be part of his NBA game. But you kept saying that's who he is because YOU wanted to rely on the numbers.

I know who it is but will let it play out. Should we draft Zach Edey under a similar strategy.
Ugh!!! Zach Edey. He can score and rebound well vs vertically-challenged college players, but cannot move his feet at all. I am not a big Dok fan, but would rather have Dok than Edey off the bench.

I was kidding/using an example of a guy with a lot of statistical positives that no one would want to draft. I do not want us to draft him at all.

I mean, I'm pretty sure the front office did everything they possibly could to go full on tank at the end of the season...traded away Conley, Beasley, Vando and NAW, kept Sexton and Clarkson out an extended amount of time with their injuries, sat Lauri. I'm pretty sure Ainge was cringing at every single win post trade deadline.
I don’t understand how everyone doesn’t see this with crystal clarity.

Whitmore?
Its Brandin Podziemski... who is very impressive statistically. He's intriguing but I have my doubts he is athletic enough. Might be a steal or in Europe in a couple years (where he'd likely do quite well).

It’s obvious but some don’t think we tanked or have some custom definition for what we did that gives us a clear moral high ground over other teams. The inability to execute the tank is why I’m very much in the camp of not attempting the same feat next year. We are competent and play hard. If you have a little talent and do that… you gonna win too many games to be a bottom feeder.

I can use both numbers and eyes because both work.

Signing Kris Dunn isn't full tank.

Locke shared his numbers on the top ten of draft. Seems mostly flat... yikes
I don't know if I even want to listen. I think its going to be a cringefest.
