2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I’m fully convinced he’s the Jazz primary target it just makes sense to me.
I’ve been a staunch defender of NOT trading any of the picks we acquired from the trades last year in this draft, but to focus on trading picks for a star player down the road.

I’ve completely decided that it’s worth it to move up for Cam Whitmore. The Jazz will still have a ton of picks and swaps to add cheap talent later if necessary, but I think he’s going to be a star and would be well worth the investment. Hopefully, DA can get it done.

I mean you may get a better deal trading the picks in the draft than waiting for a star to become available. There is no guarantee that the star will be a fit for the steep price we will pay. If you can get a potential all-star for that Laker's pick you take it.

The thing about a "disgruntled" all-star is that they are disgruntled.

Locke said on his lates podcast that Walker will not be able to shoot NBA 3s because he shoots it on the way down.

This kinda limits his ceiling right?

That’s really alarming imo.

Once Locke can pronounce his name correctly I will maybe take him seriously on any declarations he makes.

I wonder if an offer of #9, LA pick, Ochai is enough to entice Detroit for #5. Seems like a sweet spot for us as Cam or Amen would likely be there.

Slow the video down to half speed, pause at when he releases the ball. It looks to be at the top of jump to me. Same with the other 3s from this game.

He could smooth out his release a bit and that could help him extend his range, but his base form is solid.
