You’re overthinking this WAY too much. DFS is on a great contract and we’d only move down 5/6 spots.

It's less that DFS isn't on the timeline and more that's hea going to get in the way of developing the guys you draft this year. Jazz should still be in a player development mindset.

Jazz aren't in all our compete mode yet. I wouldnt be looking to add mid tier vets.

The nets would have to be sending 21 and 22 to make that happen. I would take 2 of GG, Whitehead, Sidy, Clowney, Jett, Lewis and Sensabaugh with those 2 picks and I think there is a pretty good chance one of those guys is also available at 28. All of a sudden we have an insane amount of big wings to develop and matchup with anyone.

Yeah, I don’t really see that but you could be right.
 
Dallas should do a 3-way deal with Utah and Brooklyn. Dallas moves salary, gets one or two useful players and still drafts at #21, which is a valuable pick. Utah would draft at #10. Brooklyn would draft at #16. Jazz draft at 9 and 10 to get two of their guys back-to-back.

Otherwise, the Jazz need to move up from 9 into the top 6 without giving up #16. It would need to be 9 + future pick to move up to 5 or 6.

Seems like too sweet of a deal for Dallas.
