2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Could someone explain to me how Ausar is inferior to Amen in athleticism when they’re essentially twins?
Amen moves like he walks on clouds. Does things I have never seen before. Stuff you have to rewind the tape and watch on repeat just to understand what happened.

Ausar is more of a "regular" explosive athlete. Still extremely athletic, but not game breaking

I also think Bilal (whether he is drafted by us or is successful or not) will be the rare "this guy added 15 lbs of muscle AND grew 2" in the offseason guy". Normally its one or the other... he will get both and the report will happen multiple times over his rookie deal.

I guess I was speaking for the guys who post a lot. We do make fun of his super generic posts and articles.
No, there are regulars on here who repeatedly act like he is just a organizational mouthpiece or think he is too rude on Twitter. I call them out constantly

For example, there are multiple guys we like at 9, we have explored trading up, trading down and staying put. Super generic and doesn’t really have any substance.
Or the Jazz will take the bpa when they are on the clock... to be fair some fans need to be told this but not super insightful.

Weird, must be in threads I’m not a part of. I went out of my way to make an appreciation post for Tony after the Donovan trade. He was one of the only media people reporting stuff that ended up being accurate.

there's definitely some Tony **** talk.

Just logging on today, not sure if this has already been posted.

This is the full quote from Jake Fischer. Notice the last line about making Sexton available to trade. ---

The Pistons are deliberating a final group of prospects at the fifth position, where Detroit could still find someone available later in the lottery whom the Pistons would have happily chosen at No. 5. Utah has been in contact with the Pistons about trading up from Nos. 9 and 16, according to league sources, with rival teams of the belief the Jazz are searching to get above Washington’s eighth pick in order to select Arkansas guard Anthony Black. Utah has also contacted Indiana about trading into the seventh selection, sources said. But the Jazz may need to trade above Orlando — or find a trade with the Magic at No. 6 — to secure a chance at Black. Utah has made guard Collin Sexton available in trade talks around the league, sources said.

Moving up for Black seems fairly easy if all you have to do is get over Washington.

The reports are Indy wants Walker or Hendricks. If we fail to move up for Walker at 5, then we convince Indy to swap picks if both sides are convinced Washington will not take Hendricks at 8. That might be a hard sell if they live Hendricks and they don't want to risk it, but if the intel is strong maybe they consider it. Not sure what it would take to get done on Utah's end though

On a serious note though....if Ausar is the one who falls, are we taking him or someone else? I'd probably take Bufkin and Bilal over Ausar.
That’s the biggest question we’ve been pondering since yesterday. It’s looking like a real nightmare situation.

If Washington missed out on Black here’s a high likely hood they’ll grab BPA which would be Hendricks.
