Basically said Utah is stuck with whoever falls to 9 unless they want to trade out.
Givony mentioned trading up specifically for Black.

I'm really hoping the Black stuff is smoke. He's probably the last person I'd take out of the top 10
According to the Kings, he’s better than Doncic.Ya, not bad. Is Bagley any good? What kind of role would he get on the jazz?
What if all three are even for the jazz. In that case I would totally be cool with taking the leftovers and not giving anything up since I like the leftovers the same amount as the dude who was taken at 5.You get your choice of Black/Jarace/Cam there. Is getting your choice of your guy better than staying at 9 and taking leftovers? Unequivocally yes.
Thats kind of seattles point. What if the jazz have black at 4a, cam at 4b, ausar at 4c and walker at 4d on their big board. If you think one of them is there at 9 and are basically equally happy with any of them then why give up and asset?I have Black at 4 and Cam at 5 on my big board so I’d be stoked with either.
Im kinda glad about that to be honest.Basically said Utah is stuck with whoever falls to 9 unless they want to trade out.
I'd like the Jazz to have a bit more conviction in their big board. And not rate 4 very different prospects all equally.Thats kind of seattles point. People seem to think the Jazz would flip a coin if all 4 prospects were available to choose who they take.I'd like the Jazz to have a bit more conviction in their big board. And not rate 4 very different prospects all equally.
Well that is kind of what everyone is saying. Those guys have all been listed in pretty much the same spots but bouncing around. They are all being rated as about the same talent level. They are different prospects for sure but they are being ranked pretty damn similarly.I'd like the Jazz to have a bit more conviction in their big board. Said Detroit likely won't bite on 9/16 for 5.So he doesn't think we can trade up? I haven't had a chance to listen yet.
Nope not a coin flip. Coin flips dont cost anything. I think that if the jazz like Black a tiny bit better than Jarace but black cost a future first then maybe they might just take jarace and keep the future first.People seem to think the Jazz would flip a coin if all 4 prospects were available to choose who they take.
'Everyone' is referring more to like message board casuals like us though, right? Like if I said I like all four of those guys and would be happy with any of them, that's one thing. An entire NBA team scouting department who has been watching these guys for years though, I hope would feel a little more strongly. You can like them for different reasons, but you still need to know who you like more than the others, and how much more. When you take into account team fit, personality, etc. I would think (and damn well hope) that the Jazz have a very clear ranking of who they like best.Well that is kind of what everyone is saying. You can be different but still equal. Like steph is an amazing scorer. Giannis is very different from steph but is he less amazing? These prospects are all being judged as similar talent level. Im guessing that the jazz probably like all of them for different reasons.

Also said we are talking about moving to 6 or 7 too for Anthony Black. Said we are being active. I would guess those deals depend on how the board falls. So he doesn't think we can trade up? I haven't had a chance to listen yet.
I didn't see a scenario where players were rated equally. Just similarly. I dont think its crazy to really like more than one player in a draft. In fact, I think its crazy not to.Exactly
Said they had a chance to do that last year and ownership passed on it. He's guessing... like all of us.Why? They could just trade back to 9 and get whoever falls. Maybe the guy they like at 5 falls or better yet the two guys they like at 5 fall. Plus they get 16 sounds like a no brainer. Are they stupid?
