2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Such a BS call… abolish the charge or move the circle out.

I despise the charge. Not only is it dangerous, it's not a basketball play. I know the game is heavily offense favored, but there are other ways. Falling over should never be the best way to "defend". Let defenders be a little more physical on the perimeter and be more loose with verticality calls.

Amen's jumper was looking pretty smooth, but he can't finish around the hoop. Good passing vision though. Also, besides the highlight this game is basically a lowlight reel for Cam.

Jarace 1-5 tonight… behind Nesmith Obi and Jalen smith in the rotation… guess they were all busts.

All sarcasm

And i think JHS got a dnpcd last game.

People who freak out over rookies in pre season are doing it wrong.

Cam was garbage last night too. Havent heard much about black or miller or the twins lighting it up. Scoot looked like **** to me when we played them. Hawkins aint done **** from the box scores i looked at. Wemby seems to be the only rookie looking really good.

Saw grady dick was 2-9 or something the other night.
Wallace and bufkin havent been any good

Key getting ROY I guess

Its funny how Podz has looked like the most NBA ready PG despite he wasnt even considered as a PG by many. Someone could make an argument for Sasser but he is 23 years old.

Despite shooting the 3 ball way below his college accuracy he has averaged 7.7/6.0/6.0 in 27.3 minutes with just 1.3 TO and average BPM of +7.7.

JHS was on the injury list, not a DNCP

anybody who paid attention understood podz just knows how to play. and he got drafted into the perfect situation which doesn't hurt.

Yeah, Simone is really comparable to a guy who started the majority of games for IND last year lol. I guess I should have just been lower on Taylor Hendricks and I wouldn't be eating crow right now. But fair is fair, I was too wrong and too high on him. There's a discrepancy between how NBA ready I thought Hendricks was as a prospect and how ready he actually is. Kudos to you thought Hendricks was a year one GLeague guy, I was higher on him than that. Not a death sentence, just further away than I anticipated.

Well he was my (only) guy but even I didnt expect him to look that good this early on. Figured his lack of athleticism would hurt him more initially. But the dude is a natural baller.

Bilal is one of the most impressive rookies so far. Preseason leader in stocks per game (vets included) with 10 steals and 2 blocks in just 3 games.

Maybe even more impressive is he has just 2.3 fouls per game while playing 23 mpg of super aggressive defense.

This dude gonna be a legit menace. Its like he has cheat codes for bullet time.

Anyone who had Hendricks over him is a certified moron. This is what athletic defense looks like

I get why people thought he was risky, and who knows, he hasn't done anything yet.....but I always thought Bilal was "safe" because he was a surefire defender. Offense is very far away at the moment, but I think he will be a McDaniels/Herb Jones type defender. He's tough as hell and when you combine that mentality with his physical tools he's a sure thing on defense.
