2023 NBA Free Agency Thread

I think KO’s guarantee gets picked up for sure but if it doesn’t it likely means we have bigger plans.

I’d rather let Sexton start than trade for Morris. If we want an upgrade at PG it would need to be someone like FVV.
To me, Sexton doesn't even seem to see the floor well enough to make the right reads. He's a bench gunner. His decision-making has gone from pathetic in Cleveland to reasonable-for-an-SG. We need an orchestrator.

Even if everyone gets brought back. We have so much leverage in trades. There might be a lot more salary dumps of stars with underperforming teams and the Jazz might be licking their chomps waiting for it.

So something that seems to be getting lost right now in the wake of the Collins deal is that every dollar the Jazz take on past this year jeopardizes the renegotiate and extend that should really be priority one in the near term. It would remove the question as to whether Lauri re-signs or not, and it would likely mean that his later years are cheaper which will also be important in building something enduring.

I disagree a lot with that. As a starter he had a 5/2 AST/TO ratio which is pretty damn good.

So, 2.5/1. It’s alright. But what of assist rate or percentage? It’s not very good.

He’s efficient and productive as a scorer which is nice.
