2023 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread

there is an angle that clearly shows what Sabonis was doing. He rolled and Dray's foot was between his arms... he went to shield his face which then tangled up with Drays foot... because it was between his arms. He released the hold immediately as soon as he realized they were tangled up. Dray then decides it was a malicious act (because in his mind he would do something like that... that is his perspective/lens he sees the world through) so instead of falling down he drops a full force stomp and jumps off of Sabonis' body.

It was an unnecessary dangerous play... its something Draymond does and people weirdly defend. I mean he knocked a teammate into the shadow realm this offseason... dude needs to receive consequences for his bull **** or he will keep doing it.
Yep. Draymond is a huge douchebag

What Sabonis did was try to protect his body from the rampaging lunatic that then trampled him like a rampaging lunatic.

Also, is Sabonis normally a dirty player? It seems to me that he's only been that way in this series because Draymond is the same way. Essentially an "Alright, if this is the way we're going to play, then let's do this"
Im guessing that in the game that draymond is suspended from there will be less dirty play by both teams.

Getting a guys foot tangled up in your arms for a nano second doesn't make a guy dirty and doesn't warrant being tossed lol. Intentionally gut stomping a guy in a completely vulnerable position then doing cartwheels to egg on the crowd in front of the commissioner is some of the dumbest **** ever. He earned every ounce of what he got.
Ya the crowd stuff is getting less play in the discussion but deserves more imo. Draymond is a douche.

It was honestly one of the more dangerous intentional things I've ever seen on a basketball court. Green is reckless and sadly this **** feeds his victim mentality.
I think the sports media are intentionally downplaying the risk associated with this obviously flagrant and needlessly violent act. I remember playing football in high school, during a skirmish on the line one guy fell on a guy laying on the ground. His knee hit the middle of his chest ON TOP OF HIS PADS, and was just enough force to break his xiphoid process. Lucky it didn't puncture his spleen or something. But he was done for the season at that point. And it wasn't even that much force, the guy that fell on him was smaller and didn't hit him very hard. Green could easily have cracked ribs or caused internal injury. Worse than reckless it was wantonly malicious and should have been treated as such. A single game suspension is a joke.

Draymond is the Trump of the NBA.
Draymond should run for president. He just might win. Probably not quite douchey enough but he could always step up his doucheyness on the campaign trial to secure the needed votes.

He could use that video of him stomping on Sabonis and tell everyone he will stomp all over da libs. He would win in a landslide. If there is one thing 'muricans value, it is wanton maliciousness and violence. Draymond would be the natural heir to the throne.
