2023 Trade Rumors and Gossip Involving the Jazz

Wemby is probably the only player in the draft that I'm 100% confident will be better than Kuminga.
So you are saying you would happily trade the #2 pick for kuminga straight up? Or literally any pick thereafter? Really?

I'd probably take Scoot over him but after that it's pretty questionable. I'm pretty sure JK is younger than Miller and the Thompson twins lol

This is a bit off topic, but seems like as good of a place as any to stick this rant:

I absolutely LOVE going over this thread each and every day because it never fails to make me chuckle and remind me that my current favorite sports trend is your run-of-the-mill sports fan (all sports fans, not just Jazz fans) using their favorite scouting lingo and catch phrases that they’ve memorized while watching youtube clips of ACTUAL professional scouts, and they do so all for the sake of sounding intelligent while trying to justify why “Player A” is the obvious pick for the Jazz at #9 and anybody who disagrees with them is an moran.

Jumping on here and reading that some Jazzfanz posters who probably have a day job as an accountant or tax examiner for the IRS have actually taken the time to rank 1st round prospects 1-thru-30 is seriously some of the silliest **** I’ve ever heard of.

I’ve been a diehard sports fan for 40 years and I’ve never even considered ranking a draft class in any sport. Obviously, we all have prospects that we like/don’t like for various reasons. I’m certainly no different and it’s entertaining as hell to come in here and discuss those opinions with other Jazz fans, but some of you REALLY take yourselves way too seriously at this point. In reality, you’re just as dumb as I am, and I’m definitely just as dumb as the next guy.

That being said, please keep it up!! Reading a PER draft breakdown from the guy who changes my oil is absolutely the best form of free entertainment that I have found in quite awhile. Bravo to all of you unpaid scouts. Your genius is recognized.

LOL this guy's a casual.

If we can sign Kuzma we should, he's a positive value and if he isn't a good fit and/or a star player becomes available we want he's a good piece to trade. But my main concern with him is his 3 point shooting isn't great and I think we are already lacking there.

We should very much consider FVV if we are trying to win next year.

FVV, Lauri, Kessler

With Sexton, THT, Ochai, KO and the rookies we end up with could be a sneaky good team with adding a few other fringe pieces.
FVV is too ugly to be on this team. Ugly shirt dumpy has been

The idea with Kuzma is that you get him on a better team/system where has to do a bit less and he can be more efficient.

Yeah, don't overpay him of course, but I think in the 20-25 per year range it's a good deal as long as you aren't putting in a player option.

Would you rather Kuzma or John Collins?

I think Kuzma was looking at like 25M per year from Wiz before they blew it up. My guess is another team is more in the Sexton level of salary range. Which is fine for him but if he’s over 17-20M a year it’s not a contract I’d go for.
