2023 Trade Rumors and Gossip Involving the Jazz

Here in Norway it is 19.28 on midsummers eve. I have no idea who I want the Jazz to draft, but I know I am going to root for the ones that end up on the team.

I have been following this thread for a while and just want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed. You guys help me fellow my favourite from many time zones away.

Of course he would. Its $36 million. He isn't getting that on the open market methinks.
He may have gotten 25M ish a year for a few years from a team like Houston though. He didn't want to opt in and then be stuck in Washington it seems.

Gaming this out... If we trade to #5 I think it almost has to be Black... because if its for Walker there is no way Hendricks slides to 9 imo... if you are connecting the dots on the Pistons wanting to trade back and get Hendricks at 9 anyway.

The dots are now saying Ausar to the Pistons, which means they cant really trade 5 unless we blow them away, which I dont think Utah wants to do.

Now they are just hoping Bilal falls to 9.

Here's the other order of operations; the Pistons wait until the Jazz pick Hendricks to be sure they can actually get (who should be) their guy and the Jazz are in communication with Detroit for their pick about their preference in case Detroit actually doesn't have a strong preference of the consensus crop in front of them (Cam, Walker, Ausar, Black?).

I wonder if part of the Cam stuff is medical but its also teams didn't like his attitude when he came in. Its just easier to point to concerning medicals than "we think the kid is a douche". The medicals would have been known for a while... maybe it is Bilal... can't wait to fight about if he is good for the next 2 years... should be fun.

I would think it's medicals on Cam. I've heard his interviews and I dont get personality red flag vibes. He's the type of player you would want to have a bit of an A type personality anyway.

I can't see Detroit wanting Black... I think it would have to be Ausar or Walker.

I only saw the stuff about him not smiling or whatever and wondered what that was about.

We should have been all over the Porzingis dump. If they were willing to attach 2 picks with him, why not Clarkson or Sexton plus Gay for Porzingis and 2 firsts.

Ainge is usually like a hammerhead when teams are hemorrhaging. Celtics out sharked the Meg.
They didn't dump Porzingus for picks. Boston got picks because they gave up Smart to Memphis for Memphis picks.
