2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

I'm old enough to remember the Jazz jetisoning future all star Paul Milsap for nothing to improve the tank. Not sure that turned out the best for us even though this board wanted it real bad. We shouldn't give Sexton and Collins away for trash.
bro, this board was pissed at the "value" we got for Millsap. Your memory is very broken on this one.

People call the Kings dumb, but IDK, getting Jonas as a backup 5 for 2 second rounders and a 2nd rounder from last year who hasnt shown anything is really good, especially when the Lakers are probably scrambling to get a 5.

Yossi Gozlan: The Washington Wizards now have 19 second-round picks. They’re $11.8 million below the luxury tax by swapping Jonas Valaniunas for Sidy Cissoko, offsetting the added payroll from acquiring Khris Middleton. They also create a $9.9 million trade exception.

Wow they will really be able to dominate the adding bench players portion of the mid-season trade-deadlines for years to come.

Doesn’t help. But, basically, it was already dead (salary matching infeasible).
Basically only way it makes sense now is if they deal DDR.

Which to me, totally makes sense, but you have to find a team who wants DDR and you have to admit adding DDR was kind of a bad move overall.

Jazz and Bulls are discussing a trade. Best guess is Tucker for Huerter and draft capital.

Huerter was going to be in that Collins deal. I wouldn't be surprised if DA goes "the one that got away" and gets the guy we thought we were going to get for free. I think Huerter is fine, but we really don't have a purpose for players of his caliber on this roster unless we want to move forward this next year.

I honestly think these guys have played their way into NOT being traded. I think the team has decided the tank ends this year. I like our guys so I am not sad.

I would be fine with this, but I still think there's a good chance we tank hard again next season in order to keep our pick.
