2024 annual Jazzfanz All time jazz draft

I think he’s super underrated he was the main cog in a multiple finals winning team. And one of the most skilled pg’s in the nba.

He was the first player to have modern dribbling skills. And it was a while before we started seeing more PGs like him. For example, Stockton, who is an all-time great PG, still dribbled like PGs in the 70s, unlike IT with his amazing crossovers and footwork.

Imagine IT in today’s spacing. He penetrated at will when the paint was clogged.

Stockton didn’t have the elite crossover some did but his handles were more advanced than 70’s players. He did use crossovers, but it wasn’t the elite crossover Thomas and others had.

PGs in the 70s weren't toddlers who could barely dribble. They had skills too. Watching Stockton, I don't think he was any better at dribbling than Magic or Oscar Robertson (I think those two were better).

Lol, you watched Oscar Robertson highlights and came away, saying he’s no worse than John Stockton?

At dribbling. He had an explosive first step and could blow by his defender off the dribble. But maybe I'm underrating Stockton's dribbling ability, idk
Stockton did everything a player needs to have. He only brought it out when he had to. He was an attacker with his passing. Being an attacker off the dribble wasn’t part of his game because he wanted to play inside the 3 pt line playing the pick’n roll game with Malone. He also had a deadly mI’d range game that was as elite as any player I ever saw. But I’ve always said if he had wanted to he could’ve averaged 25 a game had he had that mindset. He was just a different beast.

Thanks for tagging me. We collectively need to do a much better job of tagging in general to not just let the person who’s on the clock know they’re in the clock, but know when their turn is coming. I’m guessing I’ve been on the clock for a couple of hours and didn’t know.
Anyway, I’m doing moving stuff right now but am interested in moving back.

Also, are we doing same rules as last year where the first five picks are locked once selected? @Thee Idiotic Minivan K

Tony jones has him #2 PG all time. I think he is underrated in Jazz world mainly. Maybe due to the Stockton Olympic thing.
I would say Isiah had a higher peak than Stockton, but Stockton was better than Isiah for probably 6 of the 9 seasons they were in the league together, and Stockton obviously JUST KEPT GOING.
