2024 annual Jazzfanz All time jazz draft

Right now I have all the offense in the world but lack that elite perimeter defender.

Michael Cooper

8x all nba defense and 1 time DPOY

This is maybe my favorite part... but probably overkill to go two more rounds. You really only need 12 for injuries.
These later rounds are the best because you have to really think about which guys are the best fit to plug weaknesses.

Not prime Griffin. Paint gonna be packed.
He didn’t shoot as many but he still shot them and he played a lot as a point forward he had great ball handling skills also he was only 29 when he had his best season shooting 7 3’s a game. Scored 24 a game which was his highest scoring average of his career on 35 min a game played all but 7 games. Was 3rd team all nba. He shot six 3’s his last year with the clips he shot 5 a game. That’s right around the time bigs started shooting threes. That’s the same year Brook Lopez went from shooting 0.2 to 5 3’s a game as well. Safe to say Griffin could shoot threes while on the clippers, but that just wasn’t part of the plan back then.

Also Even when he didn’t shoot many threes he was still a floor spacing big. He still shot long 2’s and did it as a point forward. He had to be garded because of his elite guard skills and passing.

You're exaggerating a bit, but I think he's a fine fit in your team.
During his years with the clippers he averaged 4.3 ast during that time. And had a a couple at over 5. One of those years was closer to 6 at 5.8 ast. Look at his highlight tape. He for a big was a wizard with the ball in hand. It was a while ago so you probably forgot how good his handling skills were. Watch this vid and tell me I’m overstating. He was a true playmaker as a big.

Wow! I bet this is the first time he has ever been drafted in this thing. I didn't realize he was so good defensively until I just looked up his stats and saw how many times he was 1st team defense.
Yeah, he was a ball hawk and disrupted offense with harassment. Great perimeter defender, individual and team. Cheeks, bobby Jones, dr j, Moses were formidable defenders on the championship team

I’ve drafted him before.

I will choose...

Bob Cousy, the Houdini of the Hardwood, who was also just a bulldog on defense.
Darrell Griffith, Dr Dunkenstein, probably the first player to really weaponize the 3 point line, setting the record for most 3 pts in a season twice.

PG - Jason Kidd/Bob Cousy
SG - Michael Jordan/Jerry Sloan
SF - Jaylen Brown/Darrell Griffith
PF - Pau Gasol/Dennis Rodman
C - Bill Walton/Arvydas Sabonis

To round out the roster I'm looking for a versatile stretch 4.

Cliff Robinson

I vote we outlaw the picking of Micheal Jordan next year

How about, say, the top (number of teams) players with the highest Win Shares/48 minutes in history? Basically wiping out the obvious choices for the 1st round.

For 16 players, that would be:
