Phoenix Suns team writeup:
The Indiana team is all on the decline, besides maybe Allen. Who is getting back on defense in transition against the best transition player in the world? I would plan on giving WCJ and Eason more minutes than normal so that I can play even faster. FVV would also be a big part of the rotation who has played well against Lillard in the past and can help provide more offense from the guard position where Indiana does not have very good defenders. The only adequate guard defender on the whole rotation is Middleton who has been a 0.0 to negative DBPM defender the past 4 seasons.

The real story here is Lebron vs Giannis, and in my opinion Giannis is clearly the better player at this stage of their careers. Last season Giannis had a 9.0 BPM and 6.4 LEBRON vs James who had a 6.5 and 3.03 respectively. The head to head data bears this out as well. Over the last 6 years Giannis has had a 9.9BPM and 39.5VORP vs James's 7.4 and 29.3.

Finally, 11 of the 20 players in the matchup have first names that start with letters A-G. There are 5 players with first names that start with the letter D. Please take this in to consideration as you make your choice.

This was brought up a little in the draft thread, but I think people need a little bit of a reminder of how good Jalen Williams is and is becoming.

His role on the Thunder was as a secondary ball handler and he staggered minutes with SGA and led the offense during that time. If you look at his numbers without SGA he had a 29.3% usage, 58% efg, scored 35pts/100 possessions, and had 8.43 assists/100 possessions. Those are superstar numbers. He's a stud, has zero holes in his game, and going in to his third year should continue to be even better next year.

I don't think this one should be this close. I think people are looking at the Indiana defense and thinking it looks pretty good, but like Maneesh would say, it's lieds. Maybe some of those guys used to be pretty good defenders, but they aren't playing defense anymore. If you take the top 8 bpm players from Indiana and add up their dbpm they would be a -1.3. Compare that to Phoenix who has a 9.3 dbpm for their 8 man rotation. Indiana has a couple of above average defenders surrounded by horrible ones. Phoenix has a couple above average defenders surrounded by all nba defenders. Also, a reminder that this a projection for next year when the majority of the players for Indiana are going to be even worse as they continue to age.

Here's my math in case anyone was looking for it:

Was pissed when you drafted him. He was on my short list at the time.

the thing I hate about a simple vote is people look at one player and automatically they’re mind is made up rather than looking at team creation. Indiana is old as hell, while the suns are full of hungry dawgs. Just my opinion though. Whether he makes the allstar team or not Williams has an allstar caliber year this year. Love that guy. Giannis is borderline best player in the league with some functional offensive players that are dawgs on defense. I don’t see how the suns lose this personally
