I'm not sure Indiana is looking for another rotation player, so I was going to select one of the projects in the draft that I could stash in the G-League or overseas. However, I can't let this guy slide any further, I'm going with DaRon Holmes.
idk if I'd go that far (think the Scheierman or Collier pick would be that), but I like Portland drafting him and stashing him for maybe a year or two if he can get a spot on a better Euroleague team. I'm sure I'll use my 40th pick on a stash guy as well.
I genuinely dislike the Blazers roster. They got some overpaid vets who arent very good (Ayton/Grant), a bunch of mediocre young guys I also dont really like, I dont like their best player at all (Simons), and I dont think their coach is good for a rebuilding roster. I guess I see the Blazers core (with my draft) being Scoot/Sharpe/Edey/Dadiet (but I dont even like Scoot/Sharpe as my two premier young talents).
This was plan for him as well if I was going to select him for Indiana.

Love Collier but I'm not a Scheierman believer. I was a little surprised you didn't go with Sandfort there though. I agree with you when it comes to the blazers roster. Right now mix of vets and youngsters that aren't the best fit. Out of any team that tears it down this summer I would put the blazers at the top of the list with moving Grant and Brogdon as top priorities. They will shop Ayton as well but I'm not sure there is a buyer out there.
We will finish it off with Alex Karabans and throw him on a 2-way contract.

My favorite guy who didn't get drafted is probably McCullar. The guy I'm most surprised didn't get drafted is Dunn.
Other guys I'm surprised weren't drafted include Sears, Ajay Mitchell, KJ Simpson, Edwards, Shead, and Sandfort.

I was close to Trey Alexander or KJ Simpson at 39 but thought a Euro stash player made more sense with the roster crunch that the griz will have. The depth of this draft is pretty solid once you get into the mid 40's. A few of these guys may end up going back to school and collect some nice NIL money though rather than be a 2nd round pick this year.
If the draft fell this way, which team do you think had the best draft?
The Pels started at 17 and 21, ultimately traded up to #8, and took one of the top prospects in the draft. Not terribly realistic.
