2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

He moves better than that. Plus, he can dead-*** shoot some 3s....I think.

Gonna be honest, this is the only footage I’ve seen of him and in this clip he’s moving like molasses and taking 50 steps when it should take one.

Maybe he looks better elsewhere, but that clip was not impressive at all lol.

Really at your age? I would have thought your balls would have dropped a long time ago. I guess better late than never.
Those balls dropped already as a matter of fact I’m closer to having em too low than too high. The lotto balls though… they def haven’t dropped yet.

#1 gives you a lot of trade options.
Even in a weak draft, teams convince themselves that the hype is real. Jazz can always look to trade their pick for a veteran that’s on the block. If they don’t find a deal worth their liking, just take your #1 guy and hope he exceeds expectations.

Watching Chomche at the Hoop Summit. He looks pretty good so far. This pass, leading Edgecomb, caught people's attention --
** Big body. Decently quick feet. Able to hedge and recover.
** Sets a hard screen, which is good to see. Physical player who's willing to hit people.
** Plays hard and goes after rebounds.
** Deterrent at the rim. Gets up fast and challenges shots a bit outside his area.
** Can get his hands in passing lanes with some anticipation.
** Shows the ability to pass from the high post, which is a bit unexpected.
** Can run the floor hard.
** Has okay hands catching and grabbing boards, not amazing.
** Shows touch around the rim with his left hand.
** Guards are dominating the ball, not giving him or Maluach feeds.

He's actually not that raw. It looks like he's been well coached. He finished with 4 pts. 3 rebs. and 3 blks.

The Jazz should think collectively about these next two drafts. If they can get a connective guard or wing plus a big in this draft, they can get a lead guard and a dynamic star wing in next year's draft. Get some defense and ball movement in this draft, and get stars next year.

4 points 3 rebounds in a HS game sounds raw

That's not a high school game. There was a lot of high-level talent on the floor last night. The game was dominated by guards and wings creating their own shots. There wasn't much passing. He got three touches total and scored on two of them. He's young though, 18. He's going to need a couple years of development.

Actually, the guy who looked completely raw was Maluach.

It's a HS game. Most guys on these guys aren't going to be NBA players even if they all have NBA potential.

And yeah, the last sentences you wrote sound like a raw prospect.

I'm fascinated to see how good at shooting Flagg is. His shot is super unique. It looks way more fluid than it should, but that is typically the case in highlights that only feature makes.

Chomche is about an inch bigger than Bam Adebayo (height/length). He gets off the floor pretty quickly, but he's not as bouncy as Bam is. It also wouldn't surprise me if Missi tests out with a bit more vertical lift if both players go through go through the Combine. Chomche was able to make guys alter their shots last night, and he recorded 3 blocks. However, guys with good finishing ability are going to score on him.

I could see him get drafted in the early 20s this year if teams believe in his shooting and passing. I could also see him deferring until next year, as there might not be as many center prospects in next year's draft.
