2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Ughhhh, this year's draft is like the presidential election, there are no good options. There isn't a player I'm dying for the Jazz to draft at 10.

It's not about Knecht transferring. It's about Knecht going from unranked HSer who played JUCO to what he is now.

I just summed that up in one word for ease. His trajectory might be something….having a hard time saying it is a huge difference in the way I perceive the two.

Plenty of good options. Just having a hard time nailing down who I like best but there are likely at least 3 solid options on the board when we pick.

I mean there isn’t that star power attraction but there are a lot of good players with talent and wouldn’t be surprised if we had a shot at drafting a diamond in the rough that turns into a star.

It is reported that Coleman Hawkins got a $2M NIL deal to transfer to Kansas St. basically need to have a first round promise/second round guaranteed deal promised to match that.

As long as Buzeles is drafted by the 9th pick there will likely be someone I'm fine with at 10. I'm also good with trading down but of course this all depends on whom the front office likes. I wouldn't mind Salaun and if the Jazz FO think he can play SF as well as PF I would be sold - he can likely defend either and if he can play SF and Hendricks is at PF we would have a nice front line with those two as both can shoot, defend and are good athletes. And if Salaun goes top-9 then chances are Holland, Williams, Dillingham or Knecht will be there and I am cool with any of those guys - and of them I can see us drafting Williams if he's there as he would be a solid pairing with Hendricks and a Williams-Hendricks-Kessler line would be tough defensively.

From Tony Jones. Dunn and Edey guarding each other lol. Need the vid
I'm not sure where Tony is getting his info from but Dunn does project to be in that late 1st to early 2nd range. If the jazz do really like him then I'm sure there is a deal to be made to get us into that early 20's range to guarantee we can snag him but that wouldn't be my preference based on the depth in late 1st to early 2nd.

Pels and Bucks are reportedly willing to trade #21 and #23, respectively, to shave a bit of salary. Knicks have reportedly been willing to move both their picks at 24 and 25, and they've been linked to Clarkson in the past.

With the Jazz dangling their picks and both JCs, they should probably find a deal if they want one.
