2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

FWIW, he handles and slashes a bit better than Hendricks. He's a 2 or 3-dribble guy right now, but he's like Lauri in the sense that if he gets going downhill he's going to be tough to stop from getting to the rim.

If Risacher, Sarr, Sheppard, Castle, Buzelis, Williams, Clingan, Carter and Knecht are off the board, then the Jazz are pretty much down to Salaun and Holland -- young, athletic, underdeveloped guys. But picture Salaun with another 15 - 20 lbs playing as a high-energy 4/5. Even if his skill level is pretty average, he's probably still going to have some impact.
He would retain his value a bit longer if that is the case.

If Holland and Salaun are there at #10 that’s an extremely good problem to have.

And I’d have a very hard time choosing between the 2 … lol

I think I’d still rather take Holland and see if his shooting can improve a bit.

His ability to slash and his defense on the perimeter are skills our team currently lack and he’ll be a really great fit next to Keyonte.

Salaun and Hendricks have too similar skillset as it stands.

If I had to guess the Jazz big board for guys who could be at 10 is probably

Williams
Carter
Salaun
Edey
Holland
Knecht

Feel fairly confident that Williams tops that list. Semi confident Carter is 2nd, but could easily see Salaun being 2.

Edey at 4 is probably just me being wishful. Without a draft day trade it just seems highly unlikely.

I think of Ron Holland as something like Ronnie Brewer. Defensive 2/3, athletic slasher whom no one will bother guarding for a while.
Except that his arm isn’t wonky and the shot could come around at some point.

I think the interviews where he didn't seem to have any self awareness soured me on Holland. I'm probably overreacting though.
That stuff can be an indicator or it can be a kid being a kid. I wouldn’t let it bother me too much… since his motor runs really hot.

Self awareness is definitely an extremely thin line when it comes to pro sports. You don't want them to be too safe but they can't be too wild. It's the same thing with Buzelis and Holland where they actike they can both shoot when it's obvious tbey cant.

That remains to be seen.
Shut the hell up Jesus Christ. He can't score. How is he going to get buckets I. The half court? U less he's on a roster with incredible spacing from the other 4 players he isn't getting efficient buckets ever.

Yes if you gave him the ball with unlimited touches and non consequences he can get you points, but no one is doing that unless they are trying to put the tank into 20 straight losses territory

Don't really care that Bona is 2.5 years older than Chomche. He's a far better athlete and his game has higher potential to be an impact defender with his ability to guard switches.
