2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I think Topic is the number one guy for me right now. Sarr/Holland are somewhat intriguing, but I haven't seen enough yet. Collier.....nah.
Yeah, that's exactly how I'm leaning. Was out on Holland, but he's just not in a great context but at least he's aggressive and a + athlete.

When I watch Salaun I get the sense of untapped potential vs when I watch Risacher I just think this guy's really solid at being really solid.

I think if Ron Holland were playing in the NCAA, he'd be compared somewhat to a player like Jaylen Brown at Cal. The physical tools and athleticism are there. They at least give him a platform to build upon. His handle and ability to drive and finish at the rim are encouraging. The shooting, however, is a bit worrisome.

I was also going to mention Jaylen Brown for Ron Holland. Jaylen Brown turning into Jaylen Brown was a very high end outcome for him, but that kind of reward is why these guys keep going at the top of the draft.

I might call him the Baron Davis of this draft. His physicality is a big advantage at the college level. However, it won't be as big an advantage in the NBA.
Baron Davis was a streetball player at heart. A ton of creativity in his game. I dont see him as comparable to Collier.

Baron was a nuclear athlete too. Collier reminded me of Billups a little.

I wish I knew what people see in Topic. No burst, no vertical, heavy legs, flat shot, narrow frame and a neck that gives him like 3 inches of wasted height.

The fact that this guy is a projected top 10 pick tells you all you need to know about this draft.

He seems like he has some burst and he’s a big pg who is producing in an adult league. The shot isn’t great but it isn’t broke. Also this draft is dog water so the bar isn’t super high.

He’s not Luka but I remember some folks doubting him based on some of the physical attributes and non traditional athleticism. He might be in that realm of guy that is good and productive then does real well as a pro and it will seem obvious. He’s as good a candidate for the #1 pick as any.

I think he has Dante level on-ball burst. He looks very fast when I watch him.

The draft is dog water, but I think Topic would be in the discussion for top 5 in most drafts.

Topic and Risacher are probably my top two guys....don't think either go top 5 in last year's draft.

My biggest problem with him is that I don't believe he'll be able to create any kind of an advantage on the perimeter against NBA defenders. It's not even about his lack of an elite first step – he doesn't have any "wiggle" either. To me Topic looks like a straight line guy without the necessary straight line speed. That's not great.

He isn't having an easy time getting to the basket even in the Adriatic League, which means that he's gonna have a horrible time in the NBA.

Topic can probably become a steady backup PG but any team picking him in the Top 5 is gonna be in for an expectation adjustment.

My god that would be absolutely insane.

He's not vertically explosive, but he's got good speed and enough burst to get by guys. He's also close to a savant at 18 y.o.
