2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

What is the point you are making? That when a player plays well his stock is up and when he doesn't it goes down? I'm seriously struggling to understand. I feel like that could not be more obvious.
The same thing you’re hyping Risacher up for is the same thing you’re dinging Pate for.

He looks good to me. Really long and a smooth athlete. Plays both sides of the floor. Does the little things. Plays with passion.

To some degree I have to rely on scouts who actually watch Euroleague, but his highlights are impressive to me.
I would take him at 8 for sure. I was just using guys own reasoning against them and it worked to perfection.

Uh....yeah you're completely wrong about that. As Risacher's production has gone down, my opinion of him has gone down. Like I said, play good = stock go up. Play bad = stock go down. You really got me there.

I'm seeing it more with Sarr. I do think the shooting is BS....well, not BS but I expect him to shoot as well as any prospect with those percentages. He definitely is more like Bam on offense as others have suggested. Still need to form a stronger opinion on his defense. He is moving up for me, Risacher down.

Some of Pate’s recent games since end of February:

23 points (5/12 from 3), 7 rebounds, 4 assists

23 points (3/6 from 3), 11 assists, 6 rebounds

12 points (5/11 from field), 11 assists, 5 rebounds

16 points (4/11 from field), 9 assists, 4 rebounds

This is a guy who barely turned 18 mid-March against pros.

You probably would have completely changed your tune on Topic once you saw him put up 5 PPG on an actual team/league instead of Mega Max which is kind of the Ignite of Europe.
Negative, because that league is insane and young guys who are able to play at the level usually turn out pretty good.

Where is Risacher at on your big board?

He has a nice shiftiness to his game.

One thing the Jazz's center needs to do, whether that's Kessler or someone else, is set a solid screen. Gordon Hayward used to live behind Rudy Gobert screens, and it bought him time to make reads and make plays. I think Risacher might be able to do some of the same things, but he's going to need screen actions to free himself. He's not going to just take people off the bounce.

When Risacher was shooting closer to 50% on the season from 3 he was definitely more appealing to me....I also didn't realize his FT% was so mediocre and has been that way forever.

Not sure there was a single play where he moved off the ball for a bucket. Just a bunch of transition or early clock mid-range pulls ups. Very mediocre looking.
Haha, gotta love your negativity. There is plenty to like about what he does in that highlight video.

Dink doesn't sound like the type of bet I would like to make if I was a GM. Not sure I care if he is deemed eligible... if we stay at 8 I think I'd rather bet on someone else.

I’m afraid you’re wrong my friend. We can discuss this and Flip on our next pod. People enjoyed the disagreements.

If you're betting on a long shot young prospect you want them to have standout traits. Dink has none of those. Very basic and dime a dozen as a prospect.
