2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Sheppard just shy of 6'2 with 6'3 and change wingspan. Very short standing reach for his size at 7'9.5

I would say that's about what I expected. Nothing to bad to sway me either way.

I think comparing guys of the same stature is fair game. If you like Dillinghame/Shep, you have to understand that this is one of the odds they will have to overcome. I do think nitpicking over an in or a few lbs is a bit much though.

OTHO, comparing guys simply on the basis of being French or playing in the French league (even if they were completely different players) even though that showed no predicative power (French guys were good, until they weren't) was insane.

Seeing a lot of people say that Castle's height is an error, but is his standing reach also an error? Both very low.
Standing reach is less bankable than straight height. Connaughton famously tanked his standing reach so he had a 75" (exaggerated) vertical.

The height thing just doesn't add up imo. In private workouts I'd get out the measuring stick myself... if they don't re-measure.

Castle just one of those dudes who's dog rating is so high it tricks your eyes by 2 inches.

Right....maybe Castle was trying to slouch on both lol? I tend to make fun of people who agonize over pictures to determine if a guy is a half inch taller or shorter, but Castle is definitely a little bit taller and I also think he sandbagged his reach.

This is one of the situations where I'm just going to say "whatever" and enjoy Castle's defensive film. It's so good I might be willing to overlook the stocks as well.
